Sheep! *A little crazy! *Can’t calm during crisis! *Eventually learns to trust shepherd! *Trusts shepherd will provide and protect! Goats! *Trouble! *Independent! *Selfish! *Huge appetites! *Don’t learn from consequences Matthew 25:31-46

Works vs. Grace

Works vs. Grace Ephesians 2:8-9! ! “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Two ways to give gifts:! *Reluctantly! *Joyfully Works vs. Grace

Romans 3:28! “We hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.”! ! Isaiah 64:6! “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.” Works vs. Grace

Ephesians 2:10! “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”! ! James 2:26! “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so Faith without works is dead also.” Works vs. Grace

It’s about as useless as a screen door on a submarine! Faith without works, it’s just not happening! One is your left hand, one is your right! It’ll take two strong arms to hold on tight…! There’s a difference, you know! Between having faith and playing make believe! One will make you grow, the other one will make you sleep! Talk about it, but I really think you ought ! To take a leap off of the ship before you claim to walk on water! Faith without works is like a song you can’t sing!
