  2. in his mind she was standing swaying sleeping still could've

been dead there in the road but she matched the brittle limbs of the trees too well to tell and the woods screamed the night awake bidding my mind the normalcy maybe she was blending bleeding into the scenery an active choice taking it all in her breaking ends there was something alive about the scene her lips could move at any moment thank you they’d say this is where i belong back to the earth where i was knit together once frayed feeling vertical tension to reach heights when the depths are my only promise decay and fusion and becoming undone this is my real doing a favor you’ve given me which i will repay back with the relinquishing of any crime when my hands bloom dogwood ßowers my nose wrinkles in baby jack rabbits a cardinal ßush with red down spring you’ll see i was made for this rebirth this life wasn’t life to me it was taking now i’m giving giving giving
  3. back to what was given thank you she’ll say and

i’ll know then this was right she was right she is made right it’s what she will say she wanted is to be mine or to want nothing and no one else i’ll come back and see once this town falls back to sleep her answer of grace to me curl up on the grass, she’ll whisper intertwine with my vines we’ll both be one undone together decomposed composed of nothing but our elements the closest we can ever be and the sky will scream redemption
