EXT. AFRICAN SAVANNAH - MORNING
We see a shimmering bright, orange sun on the horizon,
encompassing the screen, as the light basks the surrounding
grassland in an apricot glow.
DR. ANNE LEMON (O.S.)
A beautiful thing, isn't it Goody?
We cut to a young man(27) in a fold-out chair, with sandy
blonde hair peering through a long lens camera towards the
glowing field below.
GOODY
It's incredible. I've only seen it
in pictures before. Doesn't do it
justice.
Covered by a short-brimmed sun hat with strap, the older
doctor seated next to him glances over.
DR. ANNE LEMON
You've been in the field before, I
thought?
GOODY
(quickly)
No, I have. I have.
It was more of a local thing
though. Thru my school. Nothing to—
Dr. Lemon silences him with a sharp wave.
DR. ANNE LEMON
Hold that thought.
She motions towards the plains below them. From atop their
vantage point, we close in on the reason for their position.
DR. ANNE LEMON (CONT'D)
We have canines on the move.
Through the dense thicket, a small pack of African Painted
Dogs enters the small clearing. The veteran hunters lead the
pack while the younger section of the troupe prances behind
playfully. They all enjoy some relaxation around the entrance
to their den.
Quickly taking his gaze away from his long lens, Goody
excitedly pulls out his notes for observation.
