Costume Design for La Traviata • Costume Design for La Traviata, an Opera in Three Acts • The colors and light of taffeta suggest the vanity and glory of 19th century and the characters. • La Traviata tells a tragic love story between a salon courtesan and a bourgeois from a provincial family.

Costume Design for Jitney • Inspiration: Jitney talked about a story in 1970s Pittsburg, about several taxi cab drivers’ life. Written by August Wilson, Jitney portrayed a rundown taxi station full of tragedy atmosphere. So under such settings, the costumes should be simple, and the colors should not be too bright.
