A platform for delivery and analysis of Next-Generation Results
Background
The advent of high-throughput Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) has created data-management challenges. Even if the data-volume issue is being resolved by
both cheaper and increasingly innovative hardware solutions, the greater problem is managing the complexity of data. NGS data analysis requires more time,
money and resources than that for data generation, becoming now the limiting step in genomic studies.
INDEAR holds the first next-generation sequencer available in Argentina, a ROCHE 454 GS-FLX Titanium.
According to the situation exposed before we have developed INDEAR WebServices, a user friendly platform for the analysis and delivery of NGS results.
Results
We have developed a platform capable of processing data from metagenomics, transcriptomics, de novo prokaryotic and eukaryotic genome sequencing, amplicon
sequencing and reference mapping in diverse projects such as human clinical samples.
In addition, INDEAR Webservices offers a set of user friendly bioinformatics GUI tools for graphical data browsing and interpretation allowing clients to visualize and
interact with resulting data. INDEAR WebServices is accessed by a username and password and the data is maintained confidential.
Conclusion
Our main goal is to assist users with no bioinformatics background in the interpretation of NGS results. INDEAR WebServices offers a solution for researchers making
the use of NGS accessible for a wider diversity of professionals.
The platform is in continuous development. We are improving our services day by day in order to satisfy every new project requirement.
