Thursday, June 14, 2012 TestFlight helps you manage your beta testing by allowing you to upload builds of your app and share them with co-workers or beta testers. Then you can see who on your testing team has installed the app, what build they are on, what devices they have and if they’ve emailed any feedback.

Thursday, June 14, 2012 Once you start to put all this together your in person testing will look something like this. Clip rig to phone, open photobooth and wait for your face to come up, plug USB extension, should bring up webcam feed

Thursday, June 14, 2012 Next bring up Screenflow. Record video from Built-in iSight and make sure your audio capture is correct. Otherwise there won’t be any audio. You won’t see a preview here but Screenflow will be capturing the testers face and audio.

Thursday, June 14, 2012 Will be upside down, but you can change that on the X/Y axis in Screenflow after you record

Thursday, June 14, 2012 Remote Mobile Testing - Laptop Hugging Method I send these pictures as an explanation, and then I have the *tester* start a video call on Skype. (If I start the call the video feeds get jammed and no audio records.) Record sessions with Silverback.

Thursday, June 14, 2012 Fortunately now there’s mirroring options available for the iPhone4S and the iPad 2 and 3. So if your Mobile Device and laptop are on the same wifi network, you can just beam the screen to your laptop. This works for in person and remote testing, so it’s way more natural than clipping a rig to your device. People can walk around with it, sit on the couch with it, however they use the device when at home or in the office. PC usually gets screwed on cool tools, but not here.

Thursday, June 14, 2012 My iPad at my desk, beaming to my laptop, showing on my external monitor. You can show more than one device at a time!

http://www.indiegogo.com/socialvideoglasses Thursday, June 14, 2012 Future? Glasses with cameras for more natural testing. Some on the market now, but they are very outdoorsy or look like they belong in a lab. These are hip.
