Lay your device on its side (on a level surface). Then press (and hold) Calibrate, until the device says “CALIBRATED.” This will ensure accurate measurements. NOTICE: For best results, calibrate on a side without buttons. Once you calibrate one side, both sides will give accurate readings. Calibrate

The square calculator can be used to determine the number of “squares” of a roof. This tells users the amount of material needed to roof, or reroof a house.

After filling in each of the values (length, width, pitch, and cut level), press “calculate” to find total squares with or without waste. Calculate

Pressing reset will remove all VISIBLE values from calculator. WARNING: Reset does not remove stored values from memory! To remove all stored values (AKA starting over) press MR, then MC until they no longer appear on the calculator. BEFORE AFTER Reset

enables users to add multiple slopes or sections. Enter values for first slope/section (length, width, pitch, cut level), and press calculate. Press “+” to add this value to memory. Enter values for next slope/section & press calculate. Next, press “+.” If this is the final slope/section press, “MR” to get a total size of roof. After adding your final slope & pressing “MR” (Previous Step), the total size of the roof will be displayed.

MC (Memory Clear) enables users to clear all slopes from memory. Users should ALWAYS press MR and MC (until they disappear) prior to starting a new roof, or attempting to start over. [MEMORY CLEAR] MC ATTENTION: MC will not appear until MR is pressed. PRESS! PRESS!

Protractor BACK Press to automatically input value (pitch) into Square Calculator. Pressing the protractor icon allows you to find pitch (by laying device against roof) and have it automatically entered into the Square Calculator (by pressing check mark), rather than entering it manually.

Remove Ads The “Remove Ads” button directs you to an in-app purchase. For $1.99, you will have the ability to remove all advertisement banners from your Pitch Gauge permanently.

Camera “Camera Mode” allows users to find roof pitch from the safety of the ground. For this feature to function properly, your device must have a rear-facing camera. To use, you must make sure the white line across the screen matches the slope (pitch) of the roof. From here, you can simply look at the reading, or press SNAP to take a picture of the pitch with the reading stamped on the actual picture (if you chose to purchase this in- app feature).

SNAP SNAP (Snap Pitch) is a feature that can be purchased (in-app) for $0.99. This feature can only be utilized in Camera Mode. While measuring roof pitch in Camera Mode, Snap Pitch gives users the ability to press SNAP which will take a picture of the actual pitch with the reading stamped on it.
