Go to gmail.com and login to your email.
Click on the gear in the top right-hand corner.
Click “settings”

Look at the section called “Browser Connection”
Double check that “always use https” is selected- there is no need to change this
setting
If this setting is not checked, Google search the error code you receive from the
checker. This tutorial will not help you if this setting is not originally checked.

Click on PC, as this tutorial is for PC only.
Scroll down and click “Download the patch”

Extract the file.
You should get two files, notifier_https_undo.reg and notifier_https.reg. Double
click the file called “notifier_https.reg”. If it asks you to confirm the action, click yes.
Now try using Gmail notifier again, and it should work.

Didn’t work?
If Gmail notifier still doesn’t work, double check you opened “notifier_https.reg”,
and not the other file. At first, the two look identical, but if you click once on both,
it will show each files’ full file name.
