TECHNOLOGY IN T&L § To facilitate/enhance the learning process (beyond the four walls of your classroom) § Should be used as assistive (guide) tools not assertive (force). § Teaching + Technology = Teachnology

Slide 39

Slide 39 text

CONSIDERATIONS OF TECHNOLOGICAL INTEGRATION § Should be contextualised and authentic § Should focus on social interactions as the driving force of learning process § Should provide enough control and ownership of the tasks

Slide 40

Slide 40 text

BUT REMEMBER…. "Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important. And good teachers, always use good tools.

Slide 41

Slide 41 text

Active Achievable Authentic Assessed 4As in creating Meaningful Tasks Students must be actively involved. Get them to do something. Tasks must be achievable, not too difficult to be grasped. Tasks should be related to the real world. Use authentic examples. There must be some forms of “assessment” to check students’ understanding.
