MATRIX WEB TEAM MATRIX WEB TEAM CHALLENGES CHALLENGES Too many masters. People charged with leadership often know nothing or very little about the web. Competing demands. Rarely a centralized web budget requiring web to jump through a lot of hoops for everything from special projects, large-scale initiatives to maintenance budget. Why would this be a problem? What are some challenges you see?

WRITING JOB DESCRIPTIONS WRITING JOB DESCRIPTIONS Resist the urge to copy from somewhere else. What someone needs might not fit your institution. If you don't know, ask someone who does. Mean what you say, not what you think you mean Use clear language. Understand how to deploy titles. In this case, you want to look what leading edge orgs are doing, rather than defaulting to what higher ed is doing. Don't say you want a "designer" if you need someone who is a "jack of all trades" et. al.
