Remember when answering to include features including whether the epithelium is ciliated, has a brush border or is keratinized. Be as detailed as possible. Start by identifying the location of the basement membrane and then focus on the just the epithelium.

Pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium Notice how the nuclei are at different levels- this indicates pseudostratified. The cells are also columnar shaped and ciliated (arrow). Answer: BM- location of basement membrane Trachea

Transitional epithelium aka urothelium Answer: Notice how the cells closest to the lumen sit over top of the rest of the epithelial cells, these are umbrella cells (arrow). BM- location of basement membrane Ureter

Answer: Stratified squamous, keratinized BM BM BM BM- location of basement membrane Notice there are multiple layers of cells indicating stratified epithelium and the top cells are flat- squamous. The arrows indicated keratinized tissue, where the nuclei and other organelles have been lost. Skin
