16 History of CNG in the UK • 100+ Daily vehicles sold between late 90’s and 2004 • 10 Eurotech vehicles sold between 2000 and 2006 • Major problems with reliability forced stop of sales • Issues Water in gas from low pressure gas mains Dealers unable to support

17 Daily • Successful trials with Veolia (LB of Camden) in partnership with Gasrec (supplier of Bio Methane) & Cenex • Vehicle entered service October 2008 • Ran for 6 months (approx 7,000 kms) – trials ended April 2009. Vehicle still in use by Gasrec • 80 vehicles now in operation with Tesco.Com, John Lewis and LB of Camden. Stralis • Trial with Coca Cola Enterprise in partnership with Gasrec, and Cenex. Vehicle entered service May 2010. • Following successful trial, a further 13 units entered service in May 2012 and were used initially to supply the Olympic park. Now delivering from Enfield. 18 CNG in the rest of Europe • 4000 Daily CNG built since late ’90s • 1500 with new engine family • Current volume: 1,000 per annum approx • Since mid 1990’s: 1,500 Eurotech/Stralis • Eurocargo CNG now also available... • In 2009 in Italy 100,000 CNG vehicles were registered – 7% of all vehicles. THE CONCLUSION? CNG VEHICLES WORK WELL WHEN THE GAS SUPPLY IS GOOD ... Biomethane and Fossil Methane both work well.

38 The Future “Natural gas, or biogas, is in many ways the better choice for agricultural applications, as it produces 25 % lower CO2 emissions and 95 % less nitrous oxide when compared with diesel combustion,” explains Global Product Marketing Manager at Steyr for monovalent natural gas concepts. “We believe there will be a number of potential applications in future for this clean engine technology; in the municipal sector, for example, and for agricultural operations that have a biogas plant and can use ‘fuel from field’ to power a vehicle fleet”. Market launch is scheduled for the 2015. Steyr CNG Tractor Using same engine as Iveco Daily Press release excerpt
