The culture of your zoo (organization, team, club, or home) is dependent on which animals inhabit it, where they are in your hierarchy, and how they interact. PHILOSOPHY OF THE ORGANIZATION ZOO: “A CREATIVE METAPHORIC MODEL" The more we understand our own preferred styles and the styles of others, the more effectively we can improve our own performance and positively influence others The characters are created for the purpose of understanding human behaviors and stimulating constructive conversations about the interactions between them Each of the 26 characters represents a behavior, not a person. Collectively, the characters represent most of the common behaviors observed in organizational contexts. The Organizational Zoo metaphor approach enables groups of people to collectively explore which behaviors will lead to optimal outcomes in a particular context. The Organizational Zoo creative metaphor helps us to consciously choose our behaviors and align them to present and future contexts
