Welcome back to the disorganized moms guide to a peaceful morning, step four. Hey there successful
Mama, I'm your friend Patricia Sung, and I help disorganized moms get their "it" together one step at a
time, so that you will feel confident running your family life. We are on step four, high five, you're here,
and we are rocking and rolling. Today we are talking about making space. And in this case, we're
talking about physical space. We've already discussed some of our common roadblocks, the feelings
that we let go of, and that we were taking on, and figuring out where we're going by looking at our
calendars, and bringing the future into the present for just a moment. And then we packed your bags for
the trip. If you're feeling stuck, negative, unmotivated, whatever's pulling you down, go in to the
Facebook group, get some support. Or you can sit there for a moment and think about your Why. Why
are you doing this? Why are you making a difference in your life in your kids lives in your family's life?
And that will keep you on track?

So why do we need space, people aren't using your house every day, more stuff comes in, it never
seems to go away. It gets very stressful when you don't have anywhere to make breakfast or to put
things in the lunchbox. When your counter is full of old mail that you need to sort in your kitchen table
has three half finished art projects on it. You just feel mentally squished by feeling physically squished,
it weighs on you, it's not good for you. And you know, moms tend to eat standing up next to their kids,
it's not good for us, we're doing too much.

So how do we make space for our mornings, you may have to wait until after bedtime to get this one,
then you're going to set a timer for 15 minutes. That's it. And I want you to clear off enough space on
the kitchen table that everyone has a place to eat their breakfast. Now, that is like literally this much
space. Okay, I'm not asking you to clear the entire table or kitchen or anything like just this little hole
here for someone to eat their breakfast. If you manage the appropriate number of holes for the people
who need to eat, then I want you to do the same thing on the kitchen counter so that you have
somewhere to make breakfast. If you still have time in that 15 minutes, maybe wipe it off with the spray
real quick or put some of that stuff that you took off that hole and put it where it actually goes like in a
cabinet. We are not deep cleaning our entire kitchen. We are not cataloging that box of photos that's
