Amazon Echo: We put Jeff Bezos' always-on microphone-speaker in a family home http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/10/16/amazon_echo “the Echo has gone from being a slightly unwelcome houseguest to a member of the family in a surprisingly short time. Even to the extent that the four-year-old in the house said, while away from the house for a few days "I miss Alexa." "Alexa, where is my bicycle?" asks one of the kids. Of course the answer you want is "I don't know where your bicycle is," but what you get is "I didn't understand your request." Which, oddly enough, feels a little too formal.
