Step 1: Environment Model and Camera Angle Goals: -Make the boat the focal point, simplify elements to create a clearer story. -Next Steps: Texture, Resize, Reposition to make the set believable (pirates are floating at sea).

Step 2: Shading and Texturing Goals: -Create contrast between environment elements to try to make the boat the focal point. -Next Steps: find more life like textures for mountain and water, create a new bump map for the water to make the boat look less small and “toylike,” retexture the boat to look more like a pirate ship.

Lighting Version 1 Goals: -Find more life like textures for mountain and water, create a new bump map for the water to make it look less flat. -Fix Shadows to make the boat pop.

Lighting Version 2 - Created a bump map for the water, changed texture of water, readjusted lighting, need to get rid of 2 sun effect.

Lighting Version 1 Goals: - Lower shadow intensity on the boat. - Add more fill light to side of the boat - Lower the saturation of the mountain texture to be less distracting from the boat.

Lighting Version 2 -Added bump map to the water, lowered mountain intensity, added specularity to water, need to make the scene brighter and adjust the exposure levels.

Lighting Version 1 Goals: - Make the silhouette of the boat the most prominent feature. - Adjust the fill light to add less light to the sails. - Make the skydome darker

Lighting Version 2 Goals: - Make the silhouette of the boat the most prominent feature. - Adjust the fill light to add less light to the sails, creates a moonlight effect from off screen which is not desired. - Add lanterns to the boat to make it look lived in and add more visual interest.
