to
make
people
look
and
feel

and
medical
reasons.
There
will
always
be
a
demand
for
cosmeCcs
as
although
they
are
not
a
necessity,
image
is
everything.
When
it
comes
to
a
woman's
beauty,
it
seems
that
the
classic
English
rose
is
now
not
quite
as
natural
as
she
once
was.
With
ever
more
women
turning
to
their
trusty
make-‐up
bag,
latest
research
from
MINTEL
finds
the
value
of
the
BriCsh
cosmeCcs
market
blossoming.
While
consumers
have
no
control
over
what
happens
with
naConal
economics,
they
can
control
their
personal
appearance
and
it
seems
that
today,
this
is
exactly
what
they
are
doing.
Indeed,
according
to
latest
research
from
Mintel
in
to
colour
cosmeCcs,
make-‐up
displays
just
how
recession-‐proof
the
sector
is,
with
UK
retail
sales
of
colour
cosmeCcs
puSng
on
a
good
performance
in
2011,
with
market
value
up
by
over
8%
from
2010
(when
the
market
was
valued
at
£1.28
billion)
shoring
up
sales
of
a
stunning
£1.38
billion.When
it
comes
to
individual
spending
on
make-‐up,
BriCsh
women
well
outpace
their
female
companions
in
the
other
three
countries.
Not
everyone
knows
how
to
use
cosmeCcs
or
has
the
confidence
to
use
them.
Some
people
will
just
use
them
for
special
occasions
or
events.
They
will
always
be
used
in
media,
adverCsing
and
promoCon.
Department
stores,
You
Tube
and
print
magazines
all
assist
and
aid
women
on
how
to
do
their
make
up
and
hair.
Hairdressers
and
beauty
salons
offer
services
that
the
client
can
go
to
for
their
hair
and
make
up.
There
are
mobile
beauCcians
and
make
up
arCsts
that
also
offer
services
of
a
similar
nature
for
both
real
people
and
businesses.
Magazines
and
print
media
also
discuss
reviews
of
products
but
are
generally
done
by
professionals.
In
redesigning
my
website
I
will
give
my
business
more
of
an
online
presence
as
well
as
allow
clients
to
see
previous
work.
Currently
a
lot
of
my
work
comes
from
word
of
mouth
as
my
current
site
is
not
very
acCve.
Adding
more
social
media
and
reviews
will
encourage
more
repeat
traffic
to
my
webpage
as
the
user
can
be
more
interacCve.
The
client
can
come
to
the
site
to
view
work,
to
find
services
and
price
and
further
contact
details.
The
client
can
also
see
details
of
what
the
business
has
been
up
to
via
the
news
feed/blog
and
can
interact
and
comment.
If
the
client
would
like
any
advice
on
product
or
service
the
client
can
enter
a
forum
and
talk
to
others
with
similar
quesCons
or
search
more
informaCon
on
a
product
or
service
they
would
like
to
find
out
more
about
following
other
clients
personal
reviews
and
recommendaCons.
The
client
can
also
share
this
informaCon
publicly
or
if
they
have
an
account
can
store
the
informaCon
privately
as
well
as
informaCon
about
the
services
they
use
from
us,
personal
reviews
and
shared
images.
Product
recommendaCons
and
reviews
can
later
on
be
used
for
affiliate
markeCng.
