In 2025, Sam founded Campus Edge Baseball and built a recruiting and advisory platform designed to support high-achieving student-athletes pursuing opportunities in college baseball. The platform includes athlete profiles, coach and school databases, school-match applications, and recruiting strategy resources. In his role as CEO, he oversees sales, marketing, website development, social media management, client onboarding, analytics, financial tracking, video optimization, and NCAA compliance. He also works closely with baseball showcase organizations. He develops relationships with Division I, II, III, and junior college coaches to help athletes gain exposure and improve their recruiting outcomes.

His early professional experience included internships with the New York Mets, Turner-Gary Sports, and the Detroit Tigers. With the New York Mets, Menzin worked in Corporate Sales, supporting client relations, corporate activations, stadium tours, and game-day operations. At Turner-Gary Sports, he spent two years in Baseball Operations, gaining experience in salary arbitration, market analysis, statistical evaluation, free-agent strategy, and player representation. He also assisted with the design and development of the agency's website. In 2012, he joined the Detroit Tigers as an intern in Baseball Operations, contributing to salary arbitration preparation, negotiation analysis, player evaluations, and trade-related research.

His career with the Detroit Tigers spanned 14 years and included steady advancement through the organization. Beginning as an intern, Sam progressed through analyst, coordinator, and director roles before becoming Vice President and Assistant General Manager in 2021, at age 31. In that position, he led teams across scouting, medical, performance, and player experience departments. He played an active role in player acquisition efforts, contract negotiations, salary arbitration matters, and capital investment initiatives exceeding $100 million. He also served as the interim club point of contact during a transition involving the President of Baseball Operations.

Menzin earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Psychology from Swarthmore College and participated in a study abroad program in Rome, Italy. He is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration at Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business and is expected to graduate in 2027. Raised in Westbury, New York, he attended Friends Academy High School before continuing his academic and athletic pursuits.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Sam Menzin remains interested in baseball leadership, scouting, statistical analysis, sports investments, construction and design projects, and contract negotiations. He enjoys cooking, running, skiing, biking, yoga, and chess, which he played competitively as a child. In 2023, he completed the Detroit Marathon and raised $17,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He has also volunteered with NOSH Food Kitchen in Glen Cove, New York, and Mission City in Detroit. Through his leadership, experience, and dedication to athlete development, he continues to make an impact across baseball recruiting, sports operations, and advisory services.</description>
