Jesus in the Old Testament:
Prophecy
Psalm 22:16-18, written in 998 BC
“A company of evildoers encircles me; they have
pierced my hands and feet—I can count all my
bones—they stare and gloat over me; they divide my
garments among them, and for my clothing they cast
lots.”
Crucifixion wasn‘t invented until around 400 BC...
Roughly 600 years after Psalm 22 was written.

1. In the beginning: Perfect Life With God and Each
Other In The Garden
2. Our Sin brought about Death and our Separation from
God
3. Animals were sacrificed for forgiveness: “Without the
shedding of blood there is no forgiveness”
4. Jesus leaves heaven to live a perfect life with us
5. On the Cross, Jesus cancels out our Sin, Death, and
Separation
6. Jesus‘ Resurrection brings New Life: Perfect Life With
God and Each Other
