2. EXT. FOREST TOPS - MIDDAY As the title-card fades out, an explosion blows the trees down and a plume of smoke emits from the area. Birds fly away. EXT. FOREST GROUND - MIDDAY We see Solus a human witch covered in ash. SOLUS Well that could've been wor- Solus is interrupted by a giant rock arm that slams down on top of her, but is caught by Reye, a water elemental using giant water arms to parry the attack. REYE Wavering ( ) I actually don't think it could get any worse than this. SOLUS Oh really? REYE A little more help and less sarcasm? SOLUS What's the magic word? REYE defeated ( ) PLEASE SOLUS Nice try, but its... Solus summons a magenta aura around the arm that helps lift it up. SOLUS (cont'd) *Magical incantation* The two throw the arm back, the momentum causes the rock golem to be pushed backwards. It then hisses at the two and charges them. REYE Screaming ( ) AHHHHH!
3. SOLUS RUN! The two start running through the forest. SOLUS (cont'd) out of breath ( ) By the way great idea stealing his enchanted gem. REYE Thanks! I thought we needed to get in our steps today! Solus and Reye stop in their tracks as they reach a cliff. We get a look of how steep it is, and then hear the growls of an angry rock golem. REYE (cont'd) No fucking way. SOLUS Well, we've done worse. Remember ... REYE Unfortunately my trauma hasn't blocked it out yet. The two hold hands, look behind them, and jump. EXT. FALLING OFF A CLIFF - MIDDAY The pair of adventurers hold onto each other as they plummet to their doom. SOLUS SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT! REYE whining ( ) We are so DEAD! SOLUS THIS IS YOUR FAULT! YOU JUST HAD TO STEAL THE ...! REYE WHAT!? WE'RE HERE BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO ADD IT TO YOUR CRYSTAL COLLECTION SOLUS Ok well first its not just a "crystal" it's a gem of levitation. 2.
4. Suddenly it clicks in both of their heads what Solus had just spoken. The two look at one another. REYE WELL USE IT ALREADY! SOLUS I AM YOU BITCH!! Solus uses the levitation gem, and a green aura surrounds the two and slows their plummet to more of a gentle float down the cliff. REYE AHA! WE DID IT! SOLUS YAY! The two hug and as they do, the rock golem flies down past them and crashes into the ground. Solus and Reye give each other a surprised look and their feet touch the ground. REYE Pretend we didn't just almost die? SOLUS Deal. The two start to step down and follow a stream. The rock golem's eyes activate again. The camera pans up and shows a village in the distance. A timelapse ensues and the sun/moon cycle is shown until it is daytime. Then Solus and Reye are shown walking through the town looking miserable. EXT. BIG TOWN - MORNING REYE Jesus fuckin christ, I am about to evaporate. I need a shower and food and- SOLUS Wait-, you can evaporate? REYE Uhhh... I'm not too sure, I think? The two walk past a job bulletin board, but Solus grabs Reye and yanks him back. 3.
5. SOLUS Well before you evaporate, or do any of that, we need money. Solus picks out a bunch of job fliers. Reye and Solus are seen in front of the first door as it opens and the person closes the door immediately. REYE What the hell was that about? SOLUS Hm... Well now that I think about it, people may be a bit offput by our... looks. We get a full shot of their outfits which are quite dirty. REYE I thought that smell was just the town streets... SOLUS Hey it's ok! I'm sure this posting for shoveling cow poop will work. REYE Groans ( ) EXT. AROUND THE CITY - MONTAGE OF SOLUS AND REYE TRYING TO GET A JOB The two are seen in new outfits to fit into the village but their disguises fall off and people close the doors. Another time the person opens the door and looks down. Only to see they both are shown on their knees begging for a job. Reye clings to the guys legs. For their last attempt they knock on the door and jump into a bush, the person opens the door and the two jump out and scare them. Ending the montage with Solus and Reye laughing. REYE chuckling ( ) Oh my god, we're fucked. SOLUS Oh completely and totally. The two continue to laugh through the pain. 4.
6. JINGLE JANGLES Um! Hello! I don't mean to sound rude but are you two in need of amenities? REYE baffled ( ) Uh amenities? SOLUS whispering ( ) Like food and maybe a place to stay. REYE Ohhhh! Please continue. JINGLE JANGLES I left my fishing supplies a bit upstream after I was chased away by a mysterious creature. I was wondering if you would be able to retrieve them for me? I think there's something lurking nearby in those woods. REYE Isn't that a bit dangerous? Like a job for the Adventurers' Guild? JINGLE JANGLES I did! They've been gone for some time now though. Reye gives Jingle Jangles an unparalleled look. JINGLE JANGLES (cont'd) monotone. ( ) Listen, I'll pay you 5 gold each and let you stay at my inn. REYE AND SOLUS Deal. EXT. FOREST OUTSIDE OF CITY Jingle Jangles shows Reye and Solus outside of the town and into the forest where they once were. After a bit of walking, smoke starts to blow in their face. SOLUS Well I think we have your culprit. Solus points to a fire elemental in the distance arguing with an orcish woman. 5.
7. REYE Stay back Jingle, we'll take care of this. The two approach the orc and fire elemental. SOLUS Hey we noticed an immense plume of smoke around here and was wondering if everything's okay? DREA Uh yea? My buddies just all worked up. Griffin is seen muttering to himself and accidentally catching trees on fire. SOLUS Well is it possible to calm him down? DREA Well normally he just has to get through it himself. He does these little calming exercises. Meanwhile, Reye is following Griffin as he paces around the forest burning everything. Reye puts his hand over a piece of the fire and Griffin yelps as it goes out. GRIFFIN OWUH! What was that for! Suddenly Reye's rose-tinted glasses come off and Griffin seems quite agitated. REYE Uh nothing just wondering if you're ok? GRIFFIN Annoyed ( ) Of course I'm ok! Why wouldn't I be? REYE Well it's not like you're burning down an entire forest or anything. GRIFFIN Am not! A branch burns off a tree and lands on Griffin's foot. 6.
8. GRIFFIN (cont'd) really pissed ( ) UGH! WHAT THE HELL! Suddenly, Griffin's flames grow and a firebolt evaporates a bit of Reye's hair. REYE What the hell! You evaporated a really small bit of my hair! Who do you think you are?! GRIFFIN I'm Griffin the shining star of the town's adventure guild. REYE Wow, quite the adventure you're on. The drama alerts Solus and Drea who are having an engaging conversation about types of trees. The two are butting heads creating a smokescreen. SOLUS Jesus Christ. DREA You're telling me. While they're butting heads, Solus steps between them. SOLUS Reye what up? DREA concerned ( ) Griff are you ok? REYE Hey he came at me first! Aren't they the problem? JINGLE JANGLES cowering ( ) Uh they weren't what I was talking about, that is. Jingle Jangles points over to the rock golem moving towards them from before, SOLUS Oh shit shit shit... 7.
9. Solus drops the hold spell and the two land face first on the floor. REYE Maybe a warning next time? GRIFFIN Agreed. SOLUS Sorry! Again, the rock golem goes to smash Jingle, but Drea catches the arm, but is swatted away with the other arm. Griffin is blasting it with fire bolts but proves ineffective. Reye and Solus have been thrown out of site. SOLUS (cont'd) Reye we can't just leave them! REYE Why not? SOLUS One, because they we don't want them dead, two because we need the money, and three because we angered that stupid thing in the first place! REYE Jesus I was with you after you said money. Together, Reye and Solus regroup with the struggling Drea and Griffin. This time, the rock golem strikes Reye but he grapples it with water. As it's struggling to free itself, Solus mutters a spell and magic vines grab it's leg. Drea is holding down the other arm. Griffin blasts himself upwards and delivers the a blow right to the golems head. It does nothing and the Golem headbutts him into the ground and breaks free from everyone's grasp. Reye laying there realizes that the Golem still wants it's gem and takes it out of his pocket. REYE (cont'd) Hey ugly! This is what you want isn't it! Reye flaunts the green gem and the golem takes notice and walks towards Reye. He then skips the gem across the waterfront and then falls into the middle of the lake and the golem follows. 8.
10. SOLUS Haha! Nice! Solus and Reye fist bump and congratulate each other. Solus then approaches Griffin and Drea and fist bumps them. Reye follows in suit and reluctantly fist bumps Griffin which in turn hurts both parties. REYE Hey what happened to Jingle Jangle? Everyone laughs REYE (cont'd) No seriously. The camera cuts to Jingle Jangle stuck at the top of a tree like a kid on a flagpole. The camera pans up to the night sky (a similar shot as the first) and a shooting star shoots across the sky and the end. 9.
