  1. What is your major/year? 6 first years, 2 second years,

2 third years, 3 fourth years, 1 fifth years, and 1 PhD student!
  2. What is your favorite genre of music, and what are

you listening to right now? “Rock/Metal or Indie/Alternative, I have been listening to Ice Nine Kills, Bring Me the Horizon, Memphis May Fire, BoyWithUke, Noah Kahan, and many others.” “I honestly don’t have a favorite genre, I love everything. My dad is a musician who goes on tour, and whenever I see him he plays these amazing artists I’ve never heard of. Right now, I'm listening to The Lickerish Quartet. “Fortunately” and “There Is A Magic Number” are the two songs that have been on repeat.” “Oh gosh. I listen to everything. At this moment I am listening to Death Cab for Cutie but my most favorite bands of all time are the Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, and Taylor Swift.” “Hip hop (among many others). E.g. Umbrella - Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, Young Nudy” “British Indie/Hozier/Laufey/Bruno Major” “I love metal and recently discovered the band Earthside, so I’m listening to a lot of their music now”
  3. Why did you choose UCSO? “I chose to participate in

UCSO because, even though I knew that I was going into engineering and would have limited extra time, I still wanted to be involved with and play my instrument.” “I chose to participate in UCSO because I wanted to continue playing my violin once I got to college, and I think it’s a great opportunity. Before coming to UC, I played in the University of Findlay Orchestra with my violin teacher and thought it was so fun. Additionally, I hope to minor in music and this will help with my credits.” “I joined the UCSO in the beginning semester of my freshman year. I really wanted to find a way to continue using the instrument I had grown to love playing so much without having to be a music major. This orchestra gave me that opportunity.” “I have been playing violin for 15 years now and I can’t imagine life without it! I was very involved in my high school orchestra and I love classical music, especially being part of an ensemble.” “I was looking for an opportunity to continue playing my instrument in college in a laid-back fun environment.” “I needed to fulfill my ensemble requirement and choir really isn’t my thing, so I joined UCSO. I like it a lot because it’s very easy to find performers for my music.” “I played all the time in high school and I wanted an opportunity to stay involved in music not as a major.”
