Worldwide Photographic Expeditions We are proud to present an ORYX – Worldwide Photographic Expedition handpicked for you by award winning photographer and ORYX Co – founder Marius Coetzee, to one of Africa’s most thrilling wildlife and scenic photographic destinations, Zambia. Whilst on safari in Zambia, you will experience nature at its best in the South Luangwa Reserve. Your days will be spent gazing at classic scenes of the Luangwa River meandering over wide river banks while hundreds of Hippopotami enjoy wallowing in the water and surrounding pools. The river offers a hive of activity and will offer up perfect photo opportunities to capture large herds of elephant drinking at the river’s edge. The Ox bow lakes and lagoons also attract numerous other species, and as the pools dry up, so flocks of storks, herons and egrets feed on the dying fish. South Luangwa also has a very high density of leopard, with some being well habituated, offering up great photographic opportunities. The final highlight you can look forward to is seeing the Thorneycroft Giraffe, as South Luangwa is one of the last reserves in Africa where this species is now found.
