launched my fashion line AZZA just 6 months ago at none other than the runways of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. AZZA fuses high fashion with eastern influences for the modern palette and caters to an exclusive American clientele of young femmes that seek an effortlessly timeless yet statement style. Within first week of my NYC launch, notable US press, including Vogue, Wall Street Journal, & NBC, all published myself as the “it” up and coming emerging designer to watch. In this short time, I am pleased at the success of AZZA and have even bigger plans to unveil in 2012. I am quite fortunate that AZZA is carried at top luxury boutiques in the US and is well received by both the fashion industry and consumer clientele. Although I have been born and raised in the US, my culture and heritage is extremely important which is why I am seeking to bring my label to PFDC. I have been trained in the art of tailoring and design during my visits to Pakistan. I want to celebrate my Pakistani heritage in the US press to show them the beauty of my country through the art of fashion to demystify the stereotypes built by the media. Partnering with a prestigious name like PFDC will allow me to make this possible. I am also in conversations with top boutiques in Pakistan to both carry my line and support my publicity via events which will also support my brand entry into Pakistan. Efforts are underway for a major AZZA press blitz globally for 2012. I wish to include within this plan a showcase at PFDC Fashion Week which I had the pleasure of attending this past December. I hope you allow AZZA to take part of Pakistan Fashion Week - I can promise a spectacular showcase by AZZA that will put contribute positively to the mission of PFDC of showcasing emerging talent and art.
