This presentation explores current usage patterns of Generative AI and Agentic AI across four major organizational domains: products, projects, services, and value streams. The goal of this session is to share observations on how organizations are beginning to integrate AI for tangible benefits and what the future autonomous landscape might look like. We examine specific use cases, such as how Generative AI aids in product ideation and supports customer service agents, acting as a "Virtual Analyst" to identify flow bottlenecks in value streams. We also introduce the potential of Agentic AI to move into fully autonomous roles, like the Self-Healing Agent or the Flow Optimization Agent. The discussion includes a review of technology outlooks, noting that core AI elements like Generative AI and AI Engineering are projected to reach the Plateau of Productivity by 2029 after navigating implementation challenges. Finally, we offer pragmatic advice for getting started, including the importance of building a robust AI Engineering pipeline now, prioritizing low-risk use-cases, and taking a measured approach to new deployments.
