2. INTRODUCTION The pressing need – the moral decay the powerful influence of (the) media / the peculiarity of this generation - video/media driven. who mentors people from Monday - Saturday? The current situation – christians copying the world (most evident in our music. The plan of God (Ephesians 3:10) revealing His many-sided, multi-faceted wisdom in and through the church e.g. Igwe (MNC), Olori Oko (Infinity), The Passion of the Christ (Mel Gibson).
3. There is a need for the sons of God to tap into this divine wisdom and birth media that will effectively transform lives and society and ultimately establish the kingdom of God. God anointed Bezalel and Aholiab - Exodus 35:30-35 Solomon - 1Kings 4:29-34
4. MAJOR GIST Being creative is having the skill and ability to produce something new. It is both a skill and an ability. The implications of the definition above are that:  Creativity can be learnt/trained  Creativity is a divine gift. It is an attribute that we inherit from God. Genesis 1:26-28
5. Creativity is the interaction of INSPIRATION + IMAGINATION Creativity is two dimensional 1. INNOVATIONS 2. INVENTIONS Creativity= inspiration + imaginations producing innovations & inventions
6. INNOVATIONS  To innovate means "to introduce new ways or fresh patterns of doing something. To present an existing concept in a new light.“  It is a rearrangement of already existing material to produce something new and different. Examples 1. Eleru story 2. The Ipod 3. Mobile phones 4. Yanibo (K'ore) 5. Chronicles of Narnia 6. Fireproof
7. INVENTIONS  An invention is a product or design that has not existed before.  To invent means you are producing something that has never existed before. Examples 1. The airplane 2. The motor car 3. The cure for AIDS 4. The wiper
8. Inventions require access into the deep things of God for us to get them. In other words, it is INSPIRATION that connects you to INVENTIONS. 1Corinthians 2:10. Inventions and innovations are a product of your imagination and inspiration. The key to unlocking creativity lies in the potency of the two elements.
9. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN INNOVATIONS AND INVENTIONS * Inventions require access into the deep things of God for them to be unlocked. Inspiration is the key that unlocks INVENTIONS. 1Corinthians 2:10 * Innovations are usually accessed more from your imagination than from inspiration. Inspiration here helps to connect the dots! * Inventions are solely God's perogative. If He doesn't open it up, we cannot access it. However, innovations can be accessed by understanding how something works and then using its principles elsewhere to achieve similar results.
10. PRACTICAL TIPS Developing your imagination and ability to receive inspiration are the keys to unlocking creativity. The potency of both will determine how much creativity you will access. 1. Spend time in prayer and in His presence. Ps.16:11, 1Cor.14:2,3,14- 16. 2. Fill your mind with good material. Run away from pollutants Luke 6:43-45, Hebrews 11:15,16. 3. Expose yourself to the right relationships. Daniel 2:17-20, 1Cor.15:33 (Paul Baloche + Lenny LeBlanc) 4. Desire Exodus 36:2, Rom.12:6-8.
11. 5. Medtate - 1Timothy 4:15 Engage your imagination! 6. Give - time to help others - money to God and people Luke 6:33. Le Tournou - earth moving machines. 7. Listen to music. 2Kings 3:15. 8. Leverage on your pain -The Flash of Genius, the Pursuit of Happiness.
12. FINALLY  INSPIRATION CAN BE EDITED. INSPIRATION SHOULD BE EDITED. when an idea or concept comes, you need to prune it  INSPIRATION SHOULD BE TESTED Bounce it off like-minded people. Test it by yourself.  INSPIRATION SHOULD BE DOCUMENTED write it down! Your memory is not as good as ink!
13.  INSPIRATION USUALLY COMES BUNDLED - DOUBLE- CLICK! It's usually like zipped or compressed folder. The right software will unlock it. That software is MEDITATION.
