2. In a world where flavors of all kinds rule the lands, an aspiring baker and her gluttonous cat are determined to become the best bakers of Gourmand, worthy of the legendary Wonderwhisk. They must embark on a quest for knowledge where many mishaps and discoveries await them! Young, aspiring baker Dulce and her feline friend, Tito, leave their tiny farming village to venture the vast land of Gourmand and become legendary bakers who seek the Wonderwhisk. Without much experience, Dulce and Tito find themselves in many sticky situations that they have never experienced before. However, their persistence may just lead them into a path of infinite, bakery goodness! logline/show overview
3. CHARACTERS Dulce Dulce is a restless, imaginative soul that loves to make the impossible, possible! Their quiet village made up of farmers was too small to contain her determination to become the greatest baker of all. Following the rumors of the legendary Wonderwhisk, Dulce leaves her quaint home with her feline friend and sets out on a search for the glorious tool. However, Dulce may have bit off more than she can chew as she had never baked a day’s worth of sweets in her life! Her persistence may keep her on her feet, though her mishaps may bring countless of unwanted confectionery creatures! Tito A former barn cat gone crazy for sugar! He isn’t your typical cat who likes fish and wastes the day away chasing mice or bathing in the sun. Tito is an oddball that, unlike most fellow feline friends, grew a fascination for sugar! As Dulce’s loyal companion, he joins her on her quest for the Wonderwhisk as well as getting a taste of the sweet grub that lies ahead of them. Although, his small attention span and abrupt bursts of energy may bring more trouble than anticipated. He can’t help but let his curiosity drive him to dip his beans into the flour of life!
4. THE WORLD The world of Dulce and the Wonderwhisk takes place in the land known as Gourmand, where all types of chefs rule the culinary world! Gourmand is patchwork land that is made up of different types of culinary practices, all overloaded with many mysterious creatures. Deep within the crevices of Gourmand lay the origins of ancient chefs that once roamed the lands, but now leave a piece of their legacy within ancient ruins that are left to be discovered. These assorted environments that hold many friends and foes gives this world potential for a scrumptious adventure! The rural areas of Gourmand are inspired by the beautiful lands of Mexico! They hold many creatures that are inspired by the different types of desserts from all over the world. They exist through the creations of many creative cooks!
5. TONE What’s a fantasy adventure without a few wacky mishaps? Dulce and Tito may not be the best of bakers, but their resilience against every inconvenience creates the most bizarre results. Did the Loaf Elves turned into Bread Behemoths with too much proofing? Looks like Tito can’t eat his way out of this hiccup this time! Dulce and the Wonderwhisk is a quirky story that loves to challenge the impossible and explore new possibilities that may seem absurd to the most seasoned bakers.
6. Packed into a fantasy filled adventure, Dulce and the Wonderwhisk is meant to explore embracing mistakes while also discovering the different kinds of baked sweets of the world! Creativity can go far beyond from just art, but can become a wonderful confectionery as well. Food always has a story behind its creation which has unified the many people from all over the world! Why Now?
7. EPISODE SPRINGBOARDS (1) “The Quest for the Wonderwhisk” Synopsis: Dulce and her companion, Tito, are inspired. After hearing countless stories about the elusive Wonderwhisk, it’s all they want. They set out a wonky plan to obtain it but everyone (family, friends, villagers) has their doubts. (2) “It’s ALIVE!” Synopsis: Tito attempts to make a few loaves of bread. New to the art of baking, Tito finds himself in need of assistance. How was he supposed to know they’d get so big? (3) “The Smiling Cookie Revolt” Synopsis: Dulce bakes up a batch of cookies that she decorated with smiling jam, but the cookies are not happy. The cookies reject the smile drawn onto them and proceed to give Dulce and Tito a hard time. The pair have to figure out a way to make sure the cookies are happy and smiling before they set off on a rampage.
