"Desserted" Character Pitch Bible

2. Desserted is a short film about two girls working a slow day at an ice cream stand in the middle of the desert. When a mutant bird threatens their shop (and their jobs), they have to use all their ice cream-related firepower to drive it off.
5. Desserted takes place at a lonely ice cream stand in the middle of an arid desert. The setting is modern, but the stand itself is slightly old and outdated, clearly it has been here for a while.
6. Inside the shop, you won’t forget how hot it is outside, but a nice cold ice cream cone will offer some relief.
8. 18 and a fresh highschool graduate, Taylor’s always got someone to talk to and something to say, no matter how small the subject. She’s a horse lover and comes from a bit of money. Despite her thin appearance, she’s actually quite strong, wielding an ice cream sniper.
9. Taylor took on the job because she’s getting older and her parents want her to be less reliant on their money for her horse riding activities - but she’ll tell you she’s there because she wants to talk to her aunt. She grew up around the ice cream shop and pretends to know everything about everything, even when she doesn’t.

19. Katie is the rookie. She’s awkward and not great at what she does, often getting the hard jobs that no one else wants to do. Despite this she tries to remain optimistic, though that’s not always possible. However, when duty calls, she’ll give it all she’s got - she’s on a two-woman team of ice-cream-wielding superheroes with Taylor.
20. Katie is 16, a high school junior. This is her first job, and she wasn’t expecting to have to fight radioactive mutants as well as serve the odd customer. She’s not perfect, but she’s trying her best!

27. The mutations can look different, depending on whether or not the ice cream is ingested, and how much. Some animals grow extra limbs, some become unrecognizable. After coming into contact with radioactive ice cream, some creatures of the desert become mutated.
28. All of the affected are identifiable by the radioactive yellow color that affects their eyes and insides.
