If you are familiar with HTML, you know that when there is an <img ... /> tag, the browser shows an image instead. This means we can modify this text to actually spin images! And it doesn’t stop there. Only go as far as you feel comfortable with here. We’ll start out with the basic stuff and go right up to the advanced elements. 7. 6 How much do you need to spin? CHAPTER The way to measure how much your article is spun is the ‘uniqueness percentage’. Uniqueness or spin percentage is a measure of how different each variation of your spun article will be. A higher number means that each variation will be more unique. In a nutshell, measuring LSI allows you to see how relevant your article is to your target keywords. It stands for Latent Semantic Indexing. It provides a way for a computer to look at some text and get an idea what it is about. Rather than just looking at what keywords are used in the text, it considers the synonyms of words. The best way to explain is by example. If you had an article that was about “Car Loans”, throughout the text you might say “vehicle loans” or “automobile loans” in a few places. Using LSI, algorithms are able to determine that this text is actually about “car loans”, even though those exact words might not even be mentioned in the text. Why is this important? It means you can write about your target keywords without stuffing your text full those keywords. This technique (keyword stuffing) worked about 6 years ago, but now is a sure way to flag your site to the search engines. Above this, and it may look like you are keyword stuffing. 7 5 Steps to the Perfect Spun Article CHAPTER Right so you’ve decided writing content sucks, and you want to spin some articles. The biggest thing to remember is that if you are going to spin articles, you need to do it properly. ‘Properly’ means a good amount of manual spin, rather than relying on some kind of one click output (a sure way to get penalized). What follows is the minimum steps you should take to spin an article. Afterwards, we’ll go into the slightly more advanced stuff you should do if you really want to do it right. This is the same method used by ourselves, and other SEO professionals around the world. The reason is simple - it results in a highly unique yet readable output. Step 1 - First up, the article title The title need more spin than the rest of the article. This is because it is a large point of differentiation when both humans and search algorithms compare articles. Write at least 10 variations of it, and add nested spin inside these variations. 9. Step 3 - Word and Phrase Level Spinning The word and phrase level replacements are just as important. Duplicate checkers often look blocks of words. If they see the same block repeated on multiple websites, you’re flagged as duplicate. This means we need to mix up small chunks within each sentence. Including both the original sentence and the new ones you have written, rewrite several words and phrases. Ideally, build two or three levels of spin if you can. For example if you had {Right On!|That’s cool.}, you could also further expand it to {Right On!|That’s {awesome|cool}.} There are two ways you can do this. You can manually go through the whole process and add large amounts of spin using whatever method you like.Chimp Rewriter’s “Rapid Rewrite” makes this a lot easier, as you can see the whole sentence and add a lot of nested spin really quickly. 10. Getting More Serious The steps to create the Perfect Spun Article are enough for most people. However if you want to use your article more than 500 times, there’s some more things you should do. CHAPTER Depending on what you are doing with the articles, there are generally only a couple of options to get the article ready. 1. If you are submitting with software like Ultimate Demon, you use an article with spintax already in it 2. If you are manually submitting to directories or web sites, you’ll need an already spun article of plain text Exporting To Spintax This one is easy. Most of the time you can simply just copy and paste the article straight out of the editor and paste it directly into your software. The only exceptions are if your software can only deal with one level of spin, or it uses a non-standard spintax. For this you will need to use the “Export Manager” and “Profile Manager” in Chimp Rewriter. These are beyond the scope of this guide and you can read more in the Chimp Rewriter Manual. In reality though, you should almost never run into these issues. Then just copy and paste the text directly from this view into your submission. If you only want one submission at a time, this is an easy method. While syndication and submission is really beyond the scope of this guide (to give you a good overview and some details, it would need its own book), we’ll show you where to get started. The kind of places you can submit are: • Article directories • Article Beach • Article Dashboard • Article Friendly • Article MS • Any site or directory that uses the Wordpress Article directory plugin • Blogs • Wordpress • Elgg • Jcow • Press release sites • Wiki’s • Web 2.0 sites There are always some helpful posts if you do a search of some of the popular forums such as BHW (don’t let the name scare you, it’s all good) and Warrior Forum (although WF quality has reclined rapidly in the last couple of years). Search for things like “article submission” and “submit articles”. The process of manually submitting everything will get old pretty quickly. Thankfully, there is a lot of software out there that can help you with this. One of the best ones we have found is Ultimate Demon, and we are definitely not alone in this opinion. 13. 10 Automatic Spinning CHAPTER While relying on auto spinning is generally bad practice, it still has its place. The best time to use an automatic algorithm to add spintax is after you have rewritten paragraphs and sentences. Use an auto spin to add a bunch of spintax in one click, and then quickly go through and add some more options wherever they fit. You can also take the opportunity to remove any spin variations that you do not like. In Chimp Rewriter, the automatic spin function is called “Global Synonyms”.
