DC Motor’ • Background: The need to control a DC Motor speed while maintaining multiple requirements and restrictions on its behavior. • Goal: To control the DC motor using Model predictive Control (MPC) and compare it to Linear Quadratic Regulation (LQR) control. • Steps: 1. Doing the reference study. 2. Building the motor driving circuit. 3. Designing the conditioning circuits, and the low pass filter to eliminate noise on the signals being received from the motor. 4. Applying Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Linear Quadratic Regulation (LQR) on the studied DC motor. 5. Comparing between the two studied controlling methods (MPC and LQR). •
