4. The camera jolts with each of the boy's bouncing steps.
6. The final jolt knocks the camera into the sun's light, causing lens flare.
7. The flare brightens.
8. Once close he’s launching himself onto it in a big hug. The shot highlights the shared mutual love between the kid and the lilo. Boy enters arms raised. Jeff is wagging his tail at him. The waves lap gently on the shore.
9. Boy's arms reach for Jeff as he approaches.
10. They both lean into the hug. The boy's cheek squishes into Jeff.
11. The kid picks up the lilo and delicately puts it in the water. Boy's hand enters shot from left.
12. The boy gently lifts Jeff with a scoop. Slight movement in sand as his fingers move under Jeff.
13. Camera lifts with Jeff as he is lifted and carried.
14. The camera focuses on the hand motion and the lilo making contact on the wave.
15. Camera follows Jeff back down. The shoreline/waves should be visible to show boy is only putting Jeff in the shallowest water.

17. Hands pull away, leaving slight wake.
18. Small drips/splash as the boy's hands exit the frame.
19. Jeff floats in the water wagging his tail anticipating the game.
20. Title appears in the waves.
21. The boy's arm enters the shot.

23. As he lifts the ball, Jeff and the title are covered.
24. Camera frames kid’s upper body The boy looks excited to play.
25. ..then zooms into the eyes. Black bars should either swipe from top and bottom. The boy's face should not change until the bars come in. The dramatic lighting also enters with the bars.
26. Eyebrows quirk slightly, eyes narrow.
27. Mirror shot for the giraffe, as he also prepares to receive the ball. Jeff is a mirror of the boy's excitement.
28. Medium body shot transitioning to eye close up. Ditto direction for zoom on boy RE black bars, face change, and lighting.
29. Brows lower, eyes narrow.
30. As the two get “into the game” camera shows close up of them receiving and throwing the ball faster and faster. Background should be block colours to show they're in they're own little action scene world.
32. Boy should be moved back by the power of his throw.
33. This repeats 3 times for each character with more and more enthusiasm as they get competitive. Each shot is a bit more zoomed in and character expression changes gradually.
34. Jeff should squish as he pulls in.
36. Neck goes dead straight, ears and ossicones flop back with the power.
38. Boy's body turns with the strike here. Ball Squishes as it travels with his arm.
40. Hold shot on boy as he sort of floats back dramatically raising his arms, showboating.
41. Jeff sort of mirrors the turn of the boy here.
42. Again, showcase the squish of the ball, but also Jeff here.
43. Hold again as Jeff strikes his own pose.
46. Boy's arms are pushed back as the ball impacts.
47. Dust flurries from under his feet as the force of the ball pushes him back.
56. Have Jeff start to raise his rump to get ready for the strike.
59. Jeff is pushed back in the air by the power of his own "kick".
60. Camera is positioned to the side of our characters exactly where the sea meets the sand. We return to the real world. Jeff should be a little further out than right on the shoreline, but not too far. His neck is a little outstretched from the pass he just did. Boy is receiving ball.
61. Jeff's neck relaxes as boy catches ball.
62. The boy throws the ball in an arch towards the Giraffe. Boy happily returns ball. Jeff's neck squishes as he prepares to receive.
63. Squish on ball and Jeff. Boy's arms relax slightly.
64. The Giraffe bounces it back off his nose (and is pushed back by doing so). Jeff is visibly pushed back as he returns the ball. Boy raises his arms again, ready to catch ball.
65. The camera move here will be blurred, fast pan.
66. Camera cuts to wide shot of the ball being tossed back and forth in the sky as time passes, showing their relationship's longevity.
71. Sun does not necessarily have to be visible but the angle of the sunlight should change as depicted.

78. The ice cream truck jingle should start here.
79. Ice cream truck enters from behind camera. It should jiggle a little on its suspension as it drives down the path.
83. Close up of the kid's face before the ball arrives at him. We hear the music of an ice cream truck in the distance. This causes the kid to turn his head towards the noise. The ball(which was still in the air) hits the side of his head and bounces a few times on the ground. In this moment the boy should still seem fully attentive to the game, poised ready for the ball.
84. Boy's hands drop as he notices the truck.
85. Have ice cream truck awning swish forwards and sharply back as the truck stop. The boy is turning with his full body
86. Boy's head should be knocked forwards by the impact of the ball, but his expression should be unfazed.
87. The ball limply drops to the ground. Sound note to hear ball hit the sand, as the boy turns away.

89. We see the ice cream truck from behind the kid. The kid turns and runs towards it.
95. Cut back to the giraffe, showing him follow the boy’s movement with the head while doing a “loving” sigh. Camera stays centered on Jeff, traveling with him as the current pulls him back.
96. Jeff's nostrils widen for a loving sigh
97. Jeff's nostrils return to normal. and ears drop slightly with exhale
98. Jeff's ears perk back up as his head tracks the boy's movement
100. The giraffe suddenly realizes that he is getting further and further from the beach, and begins to panic a little. Jeff freezes as he realises where he is. Ears slowly lowers, eyes slowly widen Buoy comes into frame on right side
101. Jeff swivels to see his surroundings better
103. He faces the camera in realisation of how far out he is
104. Camera zooms out rapidly to a wide shot quickly showing how far the giraffe has gotten from the beach. Quick pull out from previous panel
105. Meanwhile in the background we see a buoy passing by right to left. Hold on EW as eyebrows, ears and tails droop
106. Cut back in to original camera position.
107. Jeff notices the buoy and shifts into full panic. Jeff notices the buoy and shifts into full panic
108. He leaps out of the water a little, shocked by this thing passing him he's only seen previously at great distance from the shore. His body wiggles in shock.
109. His whole body moves as he fights the current. Jeff leans forward, full panic, trembling as he strains against the current.
110. The buoy passes out of frame, past the camera.
111. The boy in the foreground is excited to receive his ice cream. Out of focus in the background, we can still make out the shape of Jeff struggling.
112. The boy jumps up and down.
115. As the boy reaches for his cone, the camera shifts to Jeff behind him, and begins to zoom slowly as he strains.
116. The boy pulls his ice cream into frame in the foreground, as Jeff stops straining, his ears drop.

119. The giraffe drifts away from the beach and picks up some speed from the current.The Giraffe looks at the water before looking back to the cliffs.
120. Jeff lifts his head, still wanting to see his friend.
121. The shot shows the giraffe’s 1st person view looking at the white cliffs as he slowly but relentlessly gets dragged away from the beach and his friend. (Giraffe still facing the cliffs, kid unaware eating ice cream?). Every POV shot from Jeff on the water should have buoyancy.
124. Dolphin should breach enough to show that it is clearly a dolphin.
127. Slight shadow of the dolphin under the water should be visible as it swims.
128. Jeff hears the splash, ears raise, eyes widen.
129. Jeff drifts forlornly for a while until he spins around, hearing splashing. He sees a dolphin swimming the same direction he’s going in. Jeff turns around, away from shore, towards the noise.
130. Jeff finishes turning as the dolphin begins to breach again.
131. The dolphin jumps fully out of the waves this time.
132. Jeff's ears drop slightly as he attentively watches the dolphin seemingly having fun.
136. Slight ear wiggle as he twists his head.
137. Jeff looks a little more intrigued by the waves having seen the dolphin.
138. Jeff watches the wave, actively riding it as it approaches him.
139. His ears flap up with the excitement of the movement.
140. Ears wiggle, tail wags.
142. The dolphin's enjoyment of the ocean rubs off on Jeff. His expression starts to change as he looks at and rides the fun, playful waves in the sun. Note: this is the beginning of the stage of denial.
146. Giraffe curious at first, begins to smile enjoying the ride on the blue waves. The shadow of dark clouds moves over his face.
149. Ears drop, as eyes open to the sudden darkness.
150. Giraffe continues to have fun, until expression suddenly changes from glee to fear. Reflection of storm in Giraffe’s fearful eyes. Transition done through sudden thunder noises and lightning flashes quick white wipe out transition on screen.
153. Full-screen lightning flash.
158. Camera sloshes around with the waves, as Jeff is pushed around, no longer riding the waves, but being bombarded.
159. The sea is now dark, heavy rain pours and lightning appears in the background. Giraffe very frightened, as large waves start forming around him and moving him around.
162. Maybe some sea spray on the camera here, as Jeff and the camera fully tossed around.
166. Camera cuts to a wide shot behind the giraffe, framing a gigantic wave starts forming in front of him Huge wave begins forming.
168. Camera frames close up of the giraffe's face from slightly above as the wave approaches the Giraffe. We see the giraffe helplessly looking up as an enormous shadow is cast on the scene. Ears drop.
171. Once the wave arrives it covers the screen in a navy wipe for a few seconds. Allowing us to transition to the next sequence. The wave continues to grow as it approaches the camera.
174. Light comes into the darkness as the camera is floating underwater. Bubbles and out of focus algae move past.
176. Algae comes into focus, floating past the camera.
179. As it passes, fade in next scene
180. Camera shows the Giraffe's perspective. The giraffe sees a reflection of his saddened (perhaps deflated self. Water creases deform the reflection of the giraffe making him look shattered.
181. Algae floats in and shatters Jeff's reflection further.
183. Camera cuts to a new scene,the storm is behind and the giraffe is exhausted from facing the storm. (small droplets show he is completely drenched). He is a little deflated. The sea is now streaked with red swirly patterns. This fascinates but also frightened the giraffe who at this point is clearly at the sea’s mercy.
184. Rock pillar passes in front of camera.
187. [Jeff POV]
188. Jeff is confused in haze.
189. He squints at the shape in the distance.
190. Faint, but visible image of boy and ball overlayed on rock shape. Perhaps hear echo of boy's laughter, and/or segment of score associated with beach one.
191. Jeff is excited thinking he sees his friend.
192. As he floats, he bumps through the red algae. Jeff should be actively trying to push through the algae.
193. The algae makes him twist & turn as he tries to move through.
196. Camera swirls out to compliment swirling algae, and Jeff twisting trying to make it through.
197. The rock comes into focus.
200. Ears, ossicones, etc droop in disappointment.
201. Opacity fades directly to the next shot. Head falls forwards, as he now just drifts along.
202. Jeff expands a little as he heaves a deep sigh.
204. The sky is now darker as evening approaches. Giraffe is in the center of the frame. Water is still. One algae is stuck to him. Red tide background fades out, grey sky and sea fade in.
205. Close up of Giraffe’s face/eye as he sighs sadly and one small tear drop from his eye. Camera tracks tears as it flows down the face into the water.
206. Camera follows tear.
211. Rain begins to fall alongside his tear.
212. Camera centered on Giraffe, lots of space in every direction to emphasize loneliness. Colors are very gray, hard to see where the sea ends and the sky begins. Rain idle but present, making ripples in the sea. Fade to black to emphasize loneliness Hold on Jeff alone in nothingness with the rain.
214. Fade back in Scene a bit less gray than before,but slightly desaturated. Giraffe, visibly depressed and deflated, has been traveling for some days. multiple Algaes are stuck to his body. Gliding along the water, letting it lead him with no real care what happens. Jeff is drifting idly. His expression unchanging, and just so very tired.
215. Sun peaks through clouds.
216. Light falls on the Giraffe, he blinks a few times as if waking up. He looks around to see colours slowly coming back to normal vibrancy, an environment more tropical than before. He looks curious and mildly interested in his surroundings. Light should peak in slowly and expand over Jeff's face and the scene.
217. Jeff, almost without thinking tilts his head into the warm sun.
218. He snaps out of his daze, and begins to take in his environment.
219. Movement below him draws his attention to the crystalline sea.
224. He looks up, past the camera.
225. 1ST PERSON SHOT of giraffe looking to the crystal clear water at first and the in the distance where we see an Hawaiian island (out of focus to in focus). His eye catches on a girl coming out of a hut on the beach, about the same age as the boy. Watching the Giraffe approach with some gleeful wonder. [Jeff POV] Drifting forwards, beach two comes into focus.
227. Jeff is moved forwards with each gentle lap of the waves.
230. He looks down as he makes contact with the sand
231. He jolts a bit in surprise at the drag of the sand below him as he is pushed ashore.
232. Camera pointing at the girl. She runs towards him with a curious but happy face. Door opens, and girl pokes her head around curiously before exiting.
233. She runs out, noticing Jeff's sorry state.
234. She enters the frame from the right.
235. They inspect each other for a moment.
236. The girl's face is in frame with an excited expression.
239. She then proceeds to remove the algae that stuck to his head.
241. Girl's hand should move slowly as she is gentle, in response to Jeff's unease. His head tilts towards head hand a little as she tugs the algae off his ear.
242. His ear springs back up, the weight of the algae gone.
243. Head returns straight up and he smiles weakly.
249. Girl smiles at Jeff reassuringly when he looks at he quizzically.
250. Camera cuts to a shot of the girl pumping up the giraffe’s valve who starts to take form again. Jeff hops up with the pumps of air as he reinflates.
251. She lifts the giraffe up in the air in all his “glory”. In a circular motion, his head passes the sun. The girl brings him down to head level and hugs him similarly to what the boy in the past did.
255. Jeff leaps into her arms with renewed energy.
259. She pulls him in, and Jeff pulls back a tiny bit, a little unsure.
260. Close up of the giraffe's face which is resting past the girl's shoulder given his long neck. His expression goes from hesitant to happy and content. She pulls him closer, and he relaxes a little.
261. He relaxes fully, ears drop to show loss of his held tension.
263. Girl happily pulls Jeff into shot..
265. She sets him down.
266. She raises her arms to begin to dance, Jeff's tail wags with her.
271. Getting the rhythm, Jeff tilts his head a little with the girl's dancing, and wags his tail harder.
275. Jeff's movements get bigger the more he gets into it.
279. Jeff now begins to display a bit of hula technique in the way he moves his neck, having fun with the girl.
286. Leaves and coconuts wipe across the screen as we transition to sunset.
289. As Jeff plays the pahu, he wags his tail, and the girl taps he foot in time with his rhythm as she strums.
294. Girl happily closes her eyes enjoying making music with her new friend.
303. Leaves and coconuts wipe across the screen as we transition to night.
306. 45 evening/night they sit by the fire and stare at the night sky, the moon, and the sea. As this sequence proceeds more and more coconut piles up.
307. Jeff and the girl lean in to rest their heads on each other's shoulders.
308. Camera pan upward from the same position showing a shot of the night sky in all its beauty. Shortly after the sun rises bringing a new day.
309. Fade out any scenery still visible, focus on moon and stars.
311. Fade back in scenery as the moon turns into the sun.
312. The girl knows it is now time to say goodbye. The girl is already standing when we pan back down.
313. Jeff's neck squishes as he twists he head to watch the girl's action.
314. The lei will pull up her hair as she lifts it off.
315. Jeff leans in and flattens his ears and ossicones to help. The girl's hair falls back into place.
316. The girl stands up, takes off her flower necklace and puts it around the giraffe’s neck. Girl lets go and lets the lei fall onto Jeff's neck.
317. She contentedly tilts her head to the side. Jeff is happy, if not understanding of her actions.
318. Jeff's tail wags as the girl lifts her arms for a big hug.
319. Camera looking toward the beach background. The girl hugs the giraffe one more time, this time she squeezes him a bit tighter (very heartfelt hug). This should pretty much be an exact mirror of the boy and Jeff's hug.
320. The camera focuses on the hand motion and the lilo making contact on the wave. While still gentle, this should be a much more purposeful movement of Jeff. He is confident now she knows she doesn't need to be as delicate.
321. Hands leave small wakes in water.
322. Small drips/splash as the girl's hands exit the frame.
323. Jeff looks at girl with puppy-dog eyes, not understand what is happening. Jeff looks a little sad and confused.

325. Camera frames the shore as the girl waves bye from the beach [Jeff POV] Hold as he is pulled away, watching the girl still smiling at him.
326. Giraffe turns towards the sea again with sad confusion, not understanding why she let him go.
327. Jeff turns away from the island, confused, but knowing he is not supposed to return.
328. He sighs.
329. Neck droops a little with the exhale.
330. He looks down and notices the necklace. He notices the lei floating in the water and looks down, camera follows.
332. The necklace around his neck floats in the water. Meaning he has gained something compared to when he was alone at sea. this shot is in parallel with the one in the 3rd stage of grief (red tide) Hold on the lei floating in the gentle waves.
333. He looks down and notices the necklace. Jeff's ears lift happily.
334. Giraffe realizes the new life he has and pictures himself immersed in different cultures, wielding different items similar to the necklace. Camera pans to the side as Jeff lift his tail.
335. Giraffe realizes the new life he has and pictures himself immersed in different cultures, wielding different items similar to the necklace. Diwali at the Golden Temple in India fades in. Jeff wags his tail, and ears perk up.

345. Jeff wiggles excitedly and swims in a circle.
349. With a smile, Giraffe does an excited spin like a dog before pushing himself forward and out of frame, using his tail like a propellor. Excited to start traveling. His tail whirs like a propeller as he zooms out.
350. Giraffe drifts into the horizon. The sky changes to a warm sunset as he swims out into the big wide world.
