Automated Home Security System. Using a micro-controller, sensors, a breadboard and other components. The Objective of the project was to assemble and simulate a home security system and to understand the elements of a breadboard and micro-controller, ways to control the basic elements of the way a security system works with just basic sensors lights and wires essentially, with code of course. Tools used to create this project were Tinkercad, and Microsoft Word and Excel.
not many too be honest, The walkthrough videos and weekly instructions made it fairly straight forward to put the project together. To be honest the challenging part is this part, the final steps of this project, thew giving feedback and explaining things in your own words. Over come these challenges by just starting. Just start writing something. I learned that if you don’t think too hard about things, things flow a lot better and you can end up doing things you didn’t think you could do.
are knowledge of electronics boards and micro controllers, as well and the technological side of how data storage, management, and the infrastructure behind the internet and the connectivity that unites all of our electronic devices and sensors and all of our IoT connected devices. The Competencies gained from this course the understanding of IoT, Sensors, Data storage and management, security, and all other aspects of IoT and the connected world covered in this course, will help to understand and excel when applied down the road to my career path.
to use a micro-controller alongside a breadboard to create many different possibilities. This instance is a home automated security system. Something many of us have in our homes already we don’t always understand what goes on to make these systems work. In this project I learned how to control blinking lights, alarms. Alert sounds, motion and distance sensors among many different aspects of how to customize and use these elements.
