    Updates
    Asset API pilot
    ● We’re piloting an Asset API for Flex Providers to optimise submitting and updating your asset information on Piclo Flex,
and would like to invite you to take part!
    ● Currently, Flex Providers submit and update asset information onto Piclo Flex via the Excel Asset File. The Asset File has
over 30 fields to submit information on, so we know this process is time-consuming for many. The Asset API allows asset
information to be added and updated in Piclo Flex, as an alternative to the Excel file upload method. It can be used to
automatically synchronise your own asset database with your asset data in Piclo Flex.

    Discussion
Planned assets: with nearly 80% of contracts going to
planned assets, is there an industry concern these won’t be
    built?
    ● ENA: This topic is something the market should
    provide insight and feedback on
    ● Piclo Roadmap: improvements to updating asset
data, such as through an Asset API, will enable the
market to track asset status in a timely and
    accurate manner
    Size of assets
    ● There’s substantial variation in size of assets on
Piclo, with the average size being heavily
influenced by the large volume of smaller assets
    uploaded to Piclo Flex
    Winning asset status

    Discussion
Shorter Term Markets: ESO services such as STOR and new frequency response
products are moving to day ahead procurement. Do you expect DSO services to move
    closer to real time procurement?
    ● Regulations: RIIO-ED2 methodology decision
    ● Piclo Roadmap: Piclo Flex is able to facilitate shorter term procurement when
needed, with further optimisations on the platform coming in the next 12
    months
    ● Trials: there are already some examples of day-ahead procurement from WPD
TSO / DSO coordination: How will the potential conflict between ESO and DSO be
    managed?
    ● ENA: this topic is being targeted in upcoming workstreams
    DNOs should identify the optimum
    combination of longer and shorter
    term lengths of markets and
    contract lengths reflecting the
    network need. Needs should be
neutrally defined, to allow for a
    range of flexibility providers to
    participate. This will help improve
    market liquidity and the
    opportunities for innovation and
    dynamic competition.”

    New Qualification Process
Flex Providers now have to declare whether they will or won’t participate in the competition by Confirming or
Withdrawing. This is an essential step of qualification. The new process follows these steps:
    1. Log into account and go to Manage
    2. Click into Qualification and enter the Confirm entry status page
    3. Select which competitions you are interested in proceeding with and click Confirm entry
    4. Select competitions you don't want to proceed with and click Withdraw
    5. Download qualifying asset data
    6. Check asset data is complete and up to date to ensure a successful technical check by the DSO
    How will this benefit me?
    ● Helps you communicate an intention to bid or lets you withdraw
    ● List of competitions you qualify for provides better visibility of your qualification status
    ● New Qualified asset download helps you complete any external PQQ processes
    Long-term vision
    ● Long term vision: remove the need for an offline, manual PQQ process by incorporating it all on Piclo
