Introduction • Ron Rogelio Peralta • 26 years old from Cavite, Philippines • Proficient in both English and Filipino language • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from University of the Philippines Diliman • Currently working as Applications Engineer for High Performance Supervisors in Analog Devices Inc. • Passionate about electronics design and sustainability • Likes to jog, play basketball and video games

Academic Background • Affiliated with Power Electronics Laboratory ◦ Worked as a Student Assistant for the UP Smart Plant Production in Controlled Environment Project (SPICE) • Final Project: Charge Equalization of Lead-Acid Batteries for Telecommunications Systems ◦ Designed and built a forward converter as the charge equalizer circuit ◦ Successfully produced a 300W (60V/5A) output ◦ Also built a 12V flyback converter as the auxiliary supply • Some relevant courses: Introduction to Semiconductor Devices and Circuits, Signals and Systems, Control Systems Theory, Introduction to Embedded Microcontrollers, Introduction to Power Electronics, Instrumentation Electronics, Industrial Electronics

Shell Eco-Marathon 2019 • Shell Eco-Marathon is a global academic program focused on energy optimization and one of the world’s leading student engineering competitions to design, build, and operate some of the world’s most energy-efficient vehicles. • Joined by 100+ student teams from 18 different countries. • Entered along Team Dagisik UP the urban concept battery-electric category. • Won 8th place.

Work Background • Currently working as Applications Engineer in Analog Devices for almost two years • Handling the High Performance Supervisors product line ◦ I conduct bench testing of the ICs and I write the datasheet before getting released ◦ I provide technical support to customers who are having issues with their design ◦ I work with Design and Test Engineers from Dublin and Bangkok • Contributes to EngineerZone
6. The Next Step! • I want to learn about Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and how they would improve hardware such as health monitors • My background on power electronics combined with dedicated study on smart systems would greatly help in innovation • I believe smart systems are perfect for healthcare equipment and I look forward to learning about the lab-on-a-chip devices
