  1. Tobacco-Go 12/1/24 Shannon Halliday 1 7 my dad was an

    addict of tobacco he would do anything to get cigarettes. when he was placed in the long-term home he couldn't get tobacco View of a tabletop. There is a pack- age of cigarettes, closed. the package opens to reveal a paper version of cleve, sitting contendedly. the box shakes him out, causing both cleve and a cigarette to tumble out. pedestal down. he latches onto the cigarette mid-descent. cut to hilsdale retirement home exterior. the lift moves... to allow cleve in, before closing shut. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 2 1

    he studied, he was a bright guy the doors on his building were coded and he spent his time. he watched people go in and out and he found out what the code was did the code the chimney ejects the cigarette. cut inside. cleve pokes his head out of a door colour. code.the surrounding area glows a bright cut to down shot of nurse inputting a glow the same colour. cut back to CU of cleve.his glasses cut to side view of staircase. people walk by. cleve blends into the bg as he descends. he punches in the code. door unlocks. 2 7 2 1 1 2 2 2 3 2 4 2 4 2

    supposed to put the identification bracelet on him. they realized, and they were so upset because they were (gma): He was gone for a while before identification bracelet he was there for two weeks no They didn't get around to it. of winter gpa: problem was, this was the middle one of the coldest days of winter and he was wearing just a very light sweater camera pans right as he runs through a series of doors. soon he exits view. wristbands. goes through doors, which double as camera pans back left as a giant arm before going back the way it came. waves hi to the normal sized nurse, nurse waves her fist at it. camera pans right, back to cleve running. background changes to white, snow falls, and he leaves footprints in the snow. 3 7 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2

    now, the home that he to buy his cigarettes was only 4 blocks from where he used but it's at this time you found out... he couldn't find him. gma: grandpa was called and said that I'll go on a walk and see if I can find him he got away somewhere so I said well somewhere so I walked over to hillsdale and they have a little path his footprints remain. he exits screen. to the corner store. the path he left in the snow, from Hillsdale zoom out to see a bird's eye view of phone call is being made at the retirement home. house. Gpa answere the phone. cut to the interior of gma and gpas He soundlessly words the news to Gma. Gma walks. camera Pans left. BG dissapears, a path forms. 4 7 4 2 4 2 4 2 1 3 1 3 1 3

    police car parked on and the police woman rolled down the walking along here window and said have you seen an elderly man where he's going. He's going to the store probably and to get cigarettes and I said no but I know who it is. It's my father in law. and I know oh. she said. oh.... so I carried on my way and I didn't see him but sure enough that's where the police found him. she stops once she reaches a police car. cut. cu. window rolls down, policewoman holds up a photo of cleve.. Cut to same photo, uncropped. on living room table. You see Gpa in bg. Cut back to policewoman, embarassed. cut to FS of Gma + police car. going separate directions. car exhumes dust which is made of cotton balls. it fades... dust grows in size, covering screen. when 5 7 1 3 2 3 3 3 4 3 5 3 5 3

    and I think the guy behind the counter recognized him. him. so the guy must have recognized because he didn't have any money on him. when grandpa asked for a cigarette probably gave him a cigatette. give you a match and then of course grandpa said I need a match. and he said no I can't someone else he was trying to bum a match off so grandpa came outside the store and and that's when the police care came and found him and took him back we see OTS of cleve rubbing hands outside the convenience store. clasped begging for a cigarette. Cut to FS of cleve, rubbing hands now Convenience store guy pulls out a real cigarette, and hands it to him. met with a no. Cleve holds hand out expectantly, a real match. he leans... someone outside the convenience store for background changes. he is now begging cleve stays in same position, but the Police sirens.     great escape. cut to black. the same pack, only with one less cigarette. cut to same shot as the beginning, the policewoman walks on screen carrying it.. deposits it, and leaves. it stays closed for a while. but it does open, and when it does, cleve's head is poking out of it. it closes for the last time. 7 7 4 4 1 5 1 5 1 5 1 5 1 5
