  1. Guardium A blockchain based ecosystem Disclaimer:
 This is just

an example and not a validation of the project and its sustainability
nor a suggestion for you to enter the project or invest in any activities related to the project.
Neither Oracle or I have any association with this - it is merely used as an application example for blockchain using various aspects of blockchain and tokens for creating the application as well as a community around it.

  3. Background

emergency definition “a serious, unexpected, and

    often dangerous situation
 requiring immediate action.”
  4. Background Before 2013.....112 landline oriented 2013..... 112 app came However

in wide areas of the world emergency centrals do not know...where people are.... when an emergency happens.... And looking at some of the situations from the
press - it can happen... here ... still..... And if things go wrong.... who did what - when?..... 112 exists at a european level...
  5. Emergency Action - fast, safe and reliable arrival - helping

and securing victims Requires - knowing where the emergency is occurring - how to get there - stop the emergency - being helpful and competent - retrospective
  6. Guardium - Global Emergency System The Guardium project is aiming

at creating a Global Emergency Setup and have released a white paper on this to create a: - fast response
 - tamper proof
 - feeling safe - being safe ecosystem - using guardian circle application and token sale for raising funds for a global distributed emergency response network and adding “guardian angels” as part of the network.
  7. Guardium A network having a protocol - identity - identifying

users consistently - reputation - e.g. respondents reputation - logging, auditing and incident reporting - incident reporting including respondents - compensation - e.g. rules for compensation - alerting - e.g. rules for respondents based on preferences, proximity, ... - contracts - e.g. smarts contracts for security - liability - adaptations for different regional variations - hardware api - interfaces for devices - e.g. making it easier to call for help (silent activation etc.) This uses blockchain technology
  8. Guardium Establishing that connection and possibly getting
 the emergency

    systems to agree to the
integration will require a lot of effort and cost
a good deal of money. Thus a utility token was issued for sale in an ICO - token sale - financing the project - token use - creating economy within the project I am using this example for showing the ways in which this becomes a way of bringing blockchain and smart contracts and utility tokens into one ecosystem as an example of an application doing that. Furthermore taking the step from a normal well proposed application in it own marked and take that to the next step.
  9. The ecosystem A free tier is available, where people can

help people. A paid tier will be available where you can earn “Guardium” - the token - by: • Sending a Guardian Invite • Accepting a Guardian Request • Answering an Alert from someone you Guard • Continuing to Guard someone each month • Bringing someone new into the ecosystem • Purchasing Guardium in-app ✓
  10. The ecosystem A paid tier will be available where you

can spend “Guardium” - the token - by: • Paying for Paid Guardians (EMT’s, security guards, etc.) • Paying for Concierge Alert Operator Monitoring • Gifting either of the above to someone (for example, buy protection for someone you love) • Rewarding someone who responded exceedingly well to your Alert • Rewarding children for responding to Safety /
Location Monitoring Check-In Requests. • Sending Guardium directly to someone in the Network • Redeeming for cash by selling Guardium in-app
  11. The ecosystem A marketplace to look for paid guardians:
 •

Specific skills offered by the Guardian (EMT*, security response, concierge 9-1-1, other skills) • Hours they are ‘on duty’ • Geographic area they service • Starred ratings and comments from past and current subscribers. • Monthly rate charged in Guardium
 these may be either:
 • an individual
 • a ‘pooled’ group of individuals e.g. ‘guardian angels’, neighborhood watch, good samaritans, etc.
 • a large professional response company e.g Rapid Response,...

The business model is taking a percentage of the subscriptions.

 * Emergency Medical Technician
  12. Subscription - example Paid Guardian Subscription
 - represents a

smart contract between the Guardee and Paid Guardian.

A contract may state that, in return for your Guardium every month, the Paid Guardian must respond within sixty seconds to any Alert generated by the guardee. Failing to answer within sixty seconds, the Guardium acquired over the past three months on that account may be forfeit and returned to the subscriber. Any other contracts the Paid Guardian has to guard others may be put on hold.
However, if the Guardian was already engaged in responding to a simultaneous Alert at the time, they will not be so penalized. Subscriptions can also be remote descriptions - more assistance than intervention
  13. • Voluntary Guards • Paid Guards • Remote Guards •

    Connected Emergency Response
 • Alerting devices Guardium services for individuals Alexa
  14. Guardium services for businesses • Hotels / Resorts • Amusement

Parks • Corporate Campuses • Universities • Municipalities
  15. Summary Blockchains can be used for many things and adding

smart contracts on top makes it possible to create new applications and target new markets. It also makes it possible to reduce tampering with information, as we saw the aim of Guardium is to provide evidence for who did what and knowing how was in the area and knowing what they did.
  16. Summary Furthermore it shows how an existing application can be

transformed into something bigger - more useful - by thinking about what new opportunities blockchain technology can bring forward. We do not know yet whether this will succeed or not. I just wanted to share this example with you for inspirational purposes - I hope that was a good decision.
