  4. Imagine  going  your  whole  life—15  years,  30   years,  even

     more—  without  ever  ge\ng  a   personal  phone  call  of  your  own.  Imagine  never   knowing  what  it  feels  like  to  experience  just  that   li`le  bit  of  belonging  that  comes  from  someone   who  isn’t  your  father  or  isn’t  your  sister  reaching   out  just  so  they  could  talk  to  you.

      overcome  that  kind  of  isola4on,  how  having  a  friend  with   an  intellectual  or  developmental  disability  can  change   your  en4re  world  for  the  be`er.  Imagine  taking  the  4me   to  see  the  things  through  your  Buddy’s  eyes  and   discovering  a  more  open  and  accep4ng  side  of  yourself   that  influences  every  corner  of  your  life.       This  is  how  Best  Buddies  is  building  momentum  to   change  the  world  .  .  .  one  buddy  at  a  4me.    
  6. HEAR  MY  STORY   Bre=  Banford        

    Bre`  Banford  is  a  Disabili4es  Rights  Movement  pioneer  from  Salt  Lake   City,  Utah.  He  is  a  well-­‐known  dancer  and  public  speaker  in  his  home   town.  Bre`  became  an  official  Buddy  Ambassador  in  2008  and  has   been  a  strong  advocate  for  people  with  disabili4es.  Bre`  has  been   featured  on  the  reality  TV  show  “So  You  Think  You  Can  Dance?”  and  is   featured  in,  “Just  Like  You,”  a  documentary  about  his  life.     Bre`’s  favorite  ac4vity  with  his  Buddy  is  riding  around  in  the  car   listening  to  his  favorite  music.  His  charisma4c  a\tude  a`racts  new   friends  daily  and  he  seizes  every  opportunity  to   speak  about  the  amazing  accomplishments   of  people  with  intellectual  disabili4es.     Our  Best  Buddies  family  was  first  introduced  to  Bre`  at  the  Audi  Best   Buddies  Challenge:  Hearst  Castle  2008.  He  has  also  spoken  at  the  Best   Buddies  Ball  2008,  Best  Buddies  Gala  2008,  and  Audi  Best  Buddies   Challenge:  Hearst  Castle  2009  and  2010.
