A quick biography: I studied for my Bachelors, Masters and PhD in the wonderful Biological Sciences department of the University of Hull, and as a postgraduate, I was a proud member of the Evolutionary research group there (@EvoHull). My research projects saw me studying the high altitude dispersal of ladybirds (Coccinealla septempunctata and Harmonia axyridis) using radar (Bachelors and Msc), parasitism in the horse chestnut leaf miner (Cameraria ohridella, small research project) and, for my PhD, the conservation genomics of the crucian carp (Carassius carassius). I have since made another "leap" in biological system, and now study the evolution of sex chromosomes in frogs with Prof. Nicolas Perrin at the Université de Lausanne, Switzerland. My interests broadly cover conservation and evolutionary genetics and genomics, and I am also a keen advocate for data accessibility and open access publishing!
