  3. the UK The UK is located mainly on 2 large

    islands in the Atlantic Ocean. English is the official and national language in the UK. The flag is called Union Jack, because there are crosses of 3 united countries under 1 monarch - the kingdom of England and Wales, of Scotland and of Northern Ireland. The capital city of England is London. England is famous for universities at Oxford and Cambridge, writers like Shakespeare, and musicians like the Beatles.
  4. FAMOUS PLACES IN THE UK  Must-see places in the

    London are: London Eye, Buckingham palace (where the Queen lived), Wimbledon Stadium, Hyde Park, Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament (with the famous bell “Big Ben”).  In the streets of London you can often see double-decker buses and black taxis.  In Madame Tussauds museum you can see wax figures of many famous people, like the Royal family, or popular singers and actors - so you can take a photo with them.
  5. Ireland  It is an island in the North Atlantic

    Ocean.  It is not a part of the UK.  On the Irish flag there are 3 colours - green, white and orange.  The popular name of the country is Eire.  The capital is Dublin.  English and Gaelic are the official languages.  It is famous for writers like Oscar Wilde, Saint Patrick's day, Irish coffee, Irish pubs, Riverdance, and shamrocks.  Shamrock is the national flower of Ireland.
  6. FAMOUS PLACES IN IRELAND  Places to see in Ireland

    are: national parks, cliffs, centuries-old castles, villages, mountains, islands, and beaches.  In Dublin you can visit the shipyard where the famous Titanic was built.  A lot of films and TV series were made in Ireland, because of its fascinating nature and landmarks. Some of those are: Star wars, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Braveheart.
  7. The USA = the United States of America.  In

    the United States of America there are 50 states.  There are 50 stars on its flag – they represent the 50 states and there are 13 stripes – they represent the 13 original colonies.  The capital city of the USA is Washington D.C.  People who live in the USA are the Americans.  English is the first state language.

    can see in the USA are:  the Empire State Building & the Statue of Liberty in New York  the amazing Grand Canyon  the White House – where president of the United States works  the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and many more…
  9. Canada  It is a country in North America. It

    is located above the USA.  The capital city is Ottawa.  The official languages are English and French.  People who live in this country are the Canadians.  On the national flag you can see white and red colours, and a maple leaf.  Canada is famous for making maple syrup. Canada’s national sport is ice hockey.  The symbol of Canada are animals like moose, polar bears and grizzlies.
  10. FAMOUS PLACES IN CANADA  Canada has the longest coastline

    in the world.  It has more lakes than any other country in the world and the National Parks are a natural treasure.  There are also many waterfalls, like the famous Niagara Falls.
  11. Australia  It is both a continent and a country

    which lies between the Indian and the Pacific Ocean.  The capital of the country is Canberra.  People who live there are the Australians, also called Aussies.  English is the first state language.  In the left corner of the Australian flag there is a small Union Jack (UK flag), because Australia used to be a colony of the United Kingdom.  The symbols of Australia are animals like kangaroos, koalas and ostriches.
