When someone is arrested in La Habra they are initially taken to the La Habra Police Station, which is a sub-station of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, where they are booked into the system. As part of this process, their fingerprints are taken and checked against a number of databases to determine their identity and if they have any outstanding warrants. A mug shot is also taken. After they have been booked, three different things could happen.
The first, the person is cited and released; the second is they are transferred to an Orange County Jail Facility. The third option is; the person is taken directly to a hearing at North Justice Center. It is best to act quickly and bail your loved one while they are still at the La Habra Police Station. Inmates cannot be bailed out until the booking process is complete.
