Software OVERVIEW • Implements the request-response-based communication protocol for data transmission between the PC and the SD Pigeon – I.e. the language for communicating with the SD Pigeon • 25 commands (17 unique) – Connect, disconnect, initialize SD cards, copy file, etc. • 15 response codes – OK, not found, unknown command, etc. SD PIGEON • Programmed in C • Footprint: 1112 lines of code COMPUTER / SERVER • Programmed in Python • Can run on Windows, Linux, and Mac computers • Footprint: 812 lines of code • Allows for either an automated or interactive interface for communicating with the SD Pigeon
