3. Who do you want to be? The person everyone hails? :) Or this poor guy? :(
4. A world class developer is someone who has morphed, transcended into and mastered the realm of awesome badass-ness They understand the why and how things work, rather than making things work
5. So… Ermm… How do we get to this badass-ness?
6. Be curious… Make mistakes, stumble on bugs, find a better way, break things, fix bugs …
7. Always do your research Understand what you are building in and out, before writing your first line of code
8. Milestones and deadlines Break the project down into modules … create a timeline … set deadlines
9. Write code for humans not compilers Humans will maintain your codebase … make it easy for them
10. You don’t want to be that guy that gives everyone headache at code review sessions
11. Follow & master code standards and guidelines Use the best code standards for the languages you use … to be world class, you need to follow agreed standards
12. Comments and @todo Your code is a bit tricky? You did something awesome right there? You need to pass an information? You are not done implementing some functions?
13. You don’t people going through your code base to feel like this
14. Version control I mean if you don’t use a VCS, are you really a developer? … save yourself and your team a lot of headache

20. Peer code review Trust me, this will save your life a few times … you also get to see other people’s perspective on things
21. Keep up to date with the community Read up on what’s going in the tech community, attend meetups, organise hackathons … and have fun while at it
