  7. THE SURVEY PURPOSE 11/19/2021 ABOUT THE SURVEY TOOL: POL.IS A

    public humanities research project taking stock of how scholar-activism, democratic and creative knowledge practices, and knowledge from lived experience work toward community-inclusion in public, higher education. Pol.is is a real-time system for gathering, analyzing and understanding what large groups of people think in their own words, enabled by advanced statistics and machine learning. Unlike multiple choice or even interview surveys, Polis allows for an interactive and conversational data collection process. Participants can offer comments on existing questions and submit their own.

    with your public humanities friends and networks. (Nov 2021-Feb 2022) DATA ANALYSIS & VISUALIZATION We will be working with a researcher-artist on data visualizations as we release our preliminary analyses (Feb-May 2022) PUBLICLY AVAILABLE RESOURCES & FINDINGS Our findings, reports, and other resources will be publicly available to help promote collaborative knowledge-production.
