Protocol Engineering: Managing Structural Constraints in 1-Million-Token LLM Co-creation

This presentation introduces Protocol Engineering (AIE 4.1), a system design methodology for cognitive synchronization between humans and LLMs. Drawing from an empirical case study of a single-session, 1-million-token book-writing project, we analyze the physical limits of transformer-based attention models and propose structural constraints to mitigate optimization bias, abstract regression, and superficial linguistic alignment (sycophancy).
