Harrison Peters

Harrison Peters believes in taking every opportunity to transform learning environments and support student learning. As the former state turnaround superintendent for Providence Public Schools in Rhode Island, he is a true leader in learning. He formed MCEL as an organization to support the development of men of color serving in all educational leadership roles, from assistant principals to deans. For his work as chief of schools in Chicago, Peters was lauded for improving graduation rates.
