He later joined Kellogg Company as Senior HR Business Partner and Senior Employee Relations Consultant. At Kellogg, Luis worked with a global workforce, supporting HR practices contributing to the company’s growth and expansion.
In 2005, Luis joined Grainger Industrial Supply as Senior HR Manager, overseeing HR functions for 13 distribution centers across the U.S. and Mexico. He was instrumental in improving employee engagement, enhancing performance, and implementing lean methodologies. One of his key achievements was leading the company’s transition to a “pay for performance” culture, which significantly impacted employee motivation and organizational performance.
Luis’s career then took him to Navistar, a global manufacturer of trucks and defense vehicles, where he led HR for the Components Division. While at Navistar, Luis was selected for an international assignment in China, where he played a key role in launching a joint venture with Janghui Automotive Corporation. This assignment allowed him to develop HR strategies for the new venture, manage expatriate infrastructure, and oversee HR due diligence for several acquisitions.
In 2015, Luis joined Brunswick, a leading marine industry manufacturer, as HR Director. He managed HR for a division with $750 million in revenue, overseeing six locations across the U.S. and Canada. Under his leadership, employee engagement improved, turnover decreased, and productivity increased.
