01 INT. SMALL TOWN CONVENIENCE STORE — DAY WIDE SFX:
Doorbell dings
02 AMERICAN — LOW ANGLE SFX: Background chatter
03 FULL COP: Sergeant, this is Banks. Just in from
the city. Starting today?
04 MED — HIGH ANGLE TOBY: Toby. We spoke on
the phone earlier. You said someone would pick me up at the ferry station when I got in, but… no one did.
05 MED CU — LOW ANGLE LLOYD: Are you calling
me a liar?
06 MED OTS — HIGH ANGLE TOBY: Oh no sir.
I just… nevermind.”
07 MED OTS LLOYD: I’ve got my hands full right
now, as you can see.
08 AMERICAN LLOYD: Last night a store clerk was savagely
attacked.
09 CLOSE ON PUDDLE
10 MED CU TOBY: Oh God! The attacker did that?
11 AMERICAN LLOYD: No, Davis did that.
12 AMERICAN LLOYD: Fixed himself a slushy and forgot to
turn off the machine.
13 AMERICAN LLOYD: Then poor Rogers wasn’t looking when he
came in, and — bam.
14 FULL — HIGH ANGLE LLOYD: Hang in there, Rogers.
We’re all pulling for you.
15 MED CU LLOYD: Damn shame. My best man.
16 MED CU TOBY: Terrible. And the attack victim?
17 FULL
18 MED CLERK: …I heard the ding and came out
from the back, and… it was chaos.
19 AMERICAN LLOYD: Let’s have a look.
20 CLOSE ON SKETCH
21 AMERICAN OTH — LOW ANGLE LLOYD: What is that?
22 MED CU CLERK: That’s the thing that attacked me.
I think it was like, a mutant sloth. Or a little Bigfoot.
23 AMERICAN — LOW LLOYD: A Littlefoot? No such thing.
24 MED CU CLERK: No, a Bigfoot that’s little. Still
a Bigfoot. Just small.
25 MED OTS LLOYD: A Smallfoot.
26 MED OTS CLERK: No, a Bigfoot scaled down.
27 MED CLERK: Like if you took a Bigfoot and
shot him with a shrink ray—
28 MED CU CLERK: —And he shrunk down small? Like
that.
29 MED CU LLOYD: Are you on drugs?
30 CU CLERK: Like—
31 MED CLERK: —Right now?
