Marc A. Korenberg is a seasoned finance executive with over 24 years of experience in corporate finance, operations, and leadership across various industries. Throughout his career, which has spanned finance, healthcare, and business operations, he has developed a reputation for navigating complex challenges, optimizing financial strategies, and driving growth. His leadership and strategic vision have impacted the organizations he has worked with, contributing to their long-term success.
Marc’s academic foundation began at the University of Vermont, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1999. He later pursued an MBA in Finance at Keller Graduate School of Management. Following his education, he started his career at UBS Investment Bank in New York, where he worked in corporate finance. His responsibilities included financial analysis, strategic planning, and budgeting, where he quickly excelled. His success at UBS laid the foundation for future leadership and financial management roles.
However, in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks in 2001, Marc felt a deep sense of responsibility to serve his country. Motivated to make a more direct impact, he left his corporate career and enlisted in the United States Army. He completed Infantry School and Airborne Paratrooper jump school before being assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division, where he served until 2005. His time in the military instilled in him the values of discipline, resilience, and teamwork—qualities that have been pivotal in his subsequent business career.
Following his military service, Marc returned to the private sector, joining a family-owned motorcycle dealership in Bear, Delaware. Starting in sales, Marc quickly transitioned into a finance role, leveraging his financial expertise to improve the dealership’s profitability and operational efficiency. His contributions were soon recognized, and he was promoted to General Manager for Sales and Finance, where he played a key role in driving the business’s success.
Marc’s next move took him to Zeltiq Aesthetics, where he joined as a Business and Financial Analyst. Over the years, his role evolved as he took on increasing responsibilities. He was promoted to Director of Commercial Operations, managing sales, marketing, and customer service teams. His strategic oversight and leadership played a vital role in Zeltiq’s success, and he was later promoted to Director of Finance and Operations. During his tenure at Zeltiq, he was instrumental in the company’s acquisition by Allergan in 2017, and he received the CEO Award for Excellence in recognition of his efforts.
In 2018, Marc joined Revance Therapeutics, a biotechnology company, as Senior Vice President of Finance. At Revance, he helped guide the company’s shift from clinical to commercial operations, overseeing financial strategies and driving operational improvements. In late 2023, he was appointed Deputy to the CFO, where he continues to lead the company’s financial operations and plays an integral role in the company’s merger with Crown Laboratories.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Marc is an avid supporter of various charitable organizations and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also a passionate sports fan, particularly of Boston’s major league teams.
