Dana White shot down rumours that a date and venue confirmation were close and Audie Attar explained that talks were progressing.

Negotiations need to happen between McGregor’s team, Mayweather’s camp and the UFC for a fight to take place with the Irishman under contract with the MMA promotion.

The amount of hands in the honey pot makes the deal a complicated one to get done, but Attar said everything was moving in the right direction.

‘Listen, I think there’s fan interest, and I think that’s brought us to a point where this may happen,’ Attar told MMA Fighting.
