Across more than two decades in the United States Marine Corps and executive roles spanning healthcare, laboratory operations, federal contracting, and health information technology, his path reflects a consistent ability to adapt, innovate, and produce measurable results inside highly regulated environments.

Whether leading Marines in demanding operational settings, earning recognition in pharmaceuticals and medical devices, launching a toxicology laboratory, or advancing healthcare data interoperability for the Department of Veterans Affairs, he has concentrated on building systems that perform reliably under pressure. His leadership approach values preparation, continuous improvement, and the conviction that lasting success comes from disciplined execution rather than short-term wins.

That foundation was set during a 20-year Marine Corps career. Serving in leadership roles across multiple assignments and duty stations worldwide, he managed personnel, coordinated complex operations, and made critical decisions where accountability was non-negotiable. The experience instilled a leadership style rooted in integrity, adaptability, and responsibility, and many of the Marines he mentored went on to lead teams of their own.

After retiring from the Corps, Michael entered one of the most heavily regulated sectors in the economy. At Pfizer, he distinguished himself through strong sales performance and multiple awards recognizing his ability to build trusted relationships and exceed expectations. At Medtronic, one of the world's leading medical technology companies, he worked directly with providers and surgical teams and again earned recognition as a top performer. Both roles sharpened his understanding of the space where clinical practice, business strategy, and compliance meet.

In 2014, he founded Central Tox LLC, doing business as Semper Fi Labs, to deliver dependable toxicology services while holding the highest standards of quality and compliance. Rather than rely on off-the-shelf software, he led development of Elevate, a proprietary laboratory information system built to support operations, compliance, and evolving customer needs. Under his leadership, Central Tox is the only Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that holds a National Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and an Interservice Security Agreement (ISA), and the company has earned multi-year Exceptional CPARS ratings on active VA contracts. Those ratings, completed by government contracting officials rather than self-reported, measure quality, schedule, cost control, management, and compliance.

As healthcare technology advanced, Michael expanded into health information technology, working to improve interoperability between providers and the VA. His company, PHI Fortress, is the only SDVOSB operating within the AWS GovCloud VA enterprise space, a distinction that reflects the specialized security and compliance demands of federal healthcare work. In 2026, he received the FORUM Innovation Award for helping develop a production-ready solution advancing healthcare data interoperability within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
