Eric Weaver, pilot, has logged extensive hours in seaplane operations, global Caravan Amphibian flights, and long-range Gulfstream missions for Fortune 100 corporate clients. His career path in business aviation has developed steadily, beginning with his early days in rural Pennsylvania and extending to assignments across the Americas, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia, and South America. Today, as a veteran business aviation pilot, his professional record combines specialized seaplane work with large-scale corporate operations.

His transition from small aircraft to advanced corporate jets shows a career built on practical skill and adaptability. Proficient in seaplanes, Caravan Amphibians, and complex jet operations, Eric continues to strengthen his capabilities while mentoring new aviators. His background includes teaching, demonstration flying, and corporate missions, creating a career that balances training with international operations. The scope of his work reflects a professional life shaped by variety and steady progress.

Eric’s early exposure to aviation came from his family farm in rural Pennsylvania. His father and uncle owned a Cessna 170, which they kept on a closed paved road through their property. This gave him early access to flying and sparked a lifelong interest in aviation. Alongside that, he gained experience in agricultural partnerships, farm product retailing, and direct-to-consumer food ventures. After finishing high school, he joined Youth with a Mission, teaching English in Hong Kong before returning home to assist his family during a challenging period. Later, he earned a degree in Business and Management Information Systems from Anderson University in Indiana, providing him with skills that supported both entrepreneurial efforts and aviation work.

After college, Eric and his parents purchased a 37-room lakeside resort in Florida, which included a golf course, banquet facilities, and a restaurant. He managed events, weddings, and daily resort operations, while his interest in aviation was renewed with the arrival of a seaplane. He earned a private pilot certificate and purchased a 1954 Cessna 180 on straight floats. When the resort was forced to close after a hurricane in 2004, Eric shifted his focus entirely toward flying, expanding his credentials to include commercial, instrument, multi-engine, instructor, and multi-engine seaplane ratings.

During the Great Recession, Eric co-founded a seaplane base in Tavares, Florida, which became known as America’s Seaplane City. Working with his partner Ricci Rowe, he helped create a business focused on seaplane tourism and advanced training. As a high-time multi-engine seaplane pilot and instructor, he earned the FAA’s highest combination of category and class ratings—ASES, AMES, ASEL, and AMEL. Over time, he has recommended more than 100 pilots for advanced ratings and is regarded for his expertise in Caravan Amphibious aircraft. He also worked as a demonstration pilot for Wipaire, manufacturer of Caravan Amphibious floats.

In 2012, Eric moved into broader corporate aviation by flying Cessna Caravans out of New York City, traveling extensively through South America, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and nearly every island in the Caribbean. From 2019 to 2024, he flew for a VVIP client in the New York area, earning a Gulfstream 550 type rating. His career has since advanced to flying G550 and G600 aircraft for a Fortune 100 company, carrying out long-range missions to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, and South America. These responsibilities combine precision and planning with demanding international operations. Alongside his corporate flying, he continues to train aviators and is pursuing FAA authorization as a Designated Examiner.
